Lego Black Friday 2025 Sale – What to Expect & When

Every year, LEGO holds one of its most anticipated sales events during Thanksgiving weekend. Based on past trends and official announcements from previous years, there’s a lot we can reasonably expect from LEGO’s 2025 Black Friday sale. Here’s a breakdown of what the sale will probably look like, when it’s expected to go live, what kind of deals might show up, and how to make the most of it.

When Will LEGO’s Black Friday Sale Start in 2025?

LEGO is expected to launch its 2025 Black Friday sale on Friday, November 28, 2025. That’s the official Black Friday date this year. LEGO typically doesn’t jump the gun too early, like some other retailers. Instead, they release their full ad and deal details a few days before the sale begins. Based on past patterns, we should see their official announcement go live on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

The sale usually runs from Black Friday through Cyber Monday, which falls on December 1, 2025 this year. It’s important to know, though, that everything is “while supplies last.” If you wait too long, some of the better sets might sell out early. And once they’re gone, LEGO usually doesn’t restock sale items during the promotion period.

Where Will the Deals Be Available?

You’ll be able to shop LEGO’s Black Friday deals in two places:

  • LEGO.com (their official website)

  • LEGO-branded retail stores

Most of the deals are the same whether you shop online or in-store, but inventory can vary. Some stores may run out of specific items quicker than others, and online orders may be delayed due to high traffic. If you’re after something specific, shopping right when the sale starts is your best bet.

How Much Will Be Discounted?

LEGO typically doesn’t go overboard with their Black Friday discounts. It’s not a sitewide sale, and it rarely includes new releases or hot exclusives. But you can usually expect a selection of LEGO sets marked down by 20% or more.

Some sets might be discounted more heavily if they’re being retired soon, or if they didn’t sell well earlier in the year. On the flip side, don’t expect any discounts on new or extremely popular sets like modular buildings, large Star Wars UCS models, or recent Ideas sets. These are usually excluded.

Free Gifts with Purchase (GWP)

LEGO’s Black Friday event always includes a free gift with purchase deal. These are exclusive mini sets or seasonal builds that LEGO includes for free when your order total hits a certain amount.

In 2024, LEGO gave away two different gifts depending on how much you spent:

  • Spend $170 or more, and you received the Winter Holiday Train (40700).

  • Spend $250 or more, and you got the Retro Record Player (40699).

It’s very likely LEGO will do something similar in 2025. The actual free sets might be different this year, but you can count on there being at least one or two gift tiers. These GWPs are only available while supplies last, so if you want one, it’s smart to shop early on Friday.

Also, these GWPs are only offered on full-price purchases and qualifying discounted items. Some heavily discounted or partner sets may not count toward the GWP threshold.

What Kind of Sets Will Be on Sale?

LEGO doesn’t discount everything. The deals are typically limited to select sets, usually grouped into themes that aren’t top sellers but are still popular. Based on last year and years prior, here are the types of sets likely to go on sale:

  • City: This theme often gets a handful of smaller and mid-range sets discounted. Police stations, fire trucks, and town buildings might be marked down.

  • Friends: Another regular in LEGO sales. You’ll probably find some of the Heartlake City builds with 20–30% off.

  • Technic: Some of the older vehicles or less premium builds may be discounted.

  • DOTS and Classic: Smaller creative or arts-and-crafts-style sets are often part of the sale.

  • Marvel and DC: Some superhero sets, especially older ones or those not tied to new movie releases, might be included.

  • Harry Potter: Occasionally you’ll see a Hogwarts expansion or classroom set discounted, but don’t count on the larger ones being included.

  • Ninjago and Monkie Kid: These sometimes show up in LEGO’s sales, depending on stock and theme popularity that year.

  • Speed Champions: A few of the vehicles from this line might be discounted if newer waves have already taken over the spotlight.

In short, if it’s a high-demand, exclusive, or collector-level set, it probably won’t be part of the Black Friday discounts. But if it’s been around a while or isn’t a top-seller, you might see a deal.

Specific Sale Examples from 2024

To give you an idea of what could show up in 2025, here’s a look at some of the actual deals LEGO offered during Black Friday last year:

  • LEGO City Grocery Store (60347): Was $69.99, down to $55.99 (20% off)

  • LEGO Marvel Shuri’s Sunbird (76211): Was $49.99, discounted to $39.99 (20% off)

  • LEGO Technic Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 (42138): Dropped from $49.99 to $39.99

  • LEGO Friends Tree-Planting Vehicle (41707): Reduced to $19.99 from $29.99 (33% off)

  • LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Carriage and Thestrals (76400): Was $19.99, dropped to $15.99

  • LEGO DOTS Big Message Board (41952): Discounted from $39.99 to $27.99 (30% off)

These were all part of LEGO’s official Black Friday listings, not just clearance items. Sets that were more than a year old or didn’t fly off shelves when released were the most likely to show up on sale.

VIP Early Access

If you’re a LEGO VIP member (which is free to join), you might get early access to some Black Friday offers. Last year, VIPs were given advance notice of the upcoming deals and sometimes early access to gift-with-purchase promos.

For 2025, there’s a good chance LEGO will do the same thing. They may start offering early access for VIPs as early as November 26 or 27, ahead of the general sale. There might also be VIP-only bundles or exclusive rewards available through the rewards center.

Keep an eye on your email or your LEGO account dashboard if you’re signed up for VIP. While the selection is mostly the same, getting in early means you’ll have first crack at the better items before they sell out.

Lego’s Cyber Monday 2024 Sale

Following just days after Lego’s Black Friday sale is their equally impressive Cyber Monday event. Of course we’re tracking it all here in 2024! But until we know more, you can scroll down the page to see last year’s ad and offer details to get a general idea of what they typically offer during the annual event.

Last Year’s Cyber Monday Ad

Updated on Tuesday November 21, 2023: Lego just officially announced the Black Friday deals that you’ll be able to pick up directly at lego.com and at your local LEGO retail store this year. And as always, all of the featured offers run through the end of day on Cyber Monday… but there will be something extra offered on Cyber Monday itself!

Starting this Friday (Nov. 25th) there will be an entire page of Lego sets on sale at 20% off or more. Plus, if you end up spending $170+ then you’ll get the Winter Market Stall (40602) free with your purchase or if you end up spending $250+ then you’ll get the Majisto’s Magical Workshop (40601) free with your purchase. On top of that, LEGO Insiders can get a free LEGO Marvel Taxi with the purchase of the LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower. But on Cyber Monday itself (Nov. 27th), you’ll also be able to get 2 gifts in one when you spend $50 or more.

More details and official terms can be found in the ad below. Some exclusions may apply. Happy bargain hunting!

Just remember, Lego’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals are always on select sets and almost never on the popular exclusives (it’s not a site or storewide sale). So if you have your heart set on something in particular, like our favorite at the moment, the Lego Ideas Home Alone set, then don’t expect it to be on sale. At most you’ll be able to qualify for Lego’s free gift with minimum purchase.

Cyber Monday 2023 Start & End Dates

For nearly the decade that we’ve been tracking Lego’s holiday season deals, their Black Friday sale has always ended on Cyber Monday. The only difference is that you an extra freebee and/or a chance to win VIP points Cyber Monday itself.

  • Confirmed Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale start date: Friday November 24, 2023 both in-stores and online (that’s on Black Friday itself).
  • Confirmed Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale end date: Monday November 27, 2023 or while supplies last. Be on the lookout for a freebee or giveaway on Cyber Monday itself.
