Macy’s Black Friday 2021 Sale – What to Expect in The Ad

We’ve still got a long ways to go until Macy’s Black Friday sale arrives again but you can scroll down the page to view last year’s details to get a general idea of the type of offers they typically run (you can expect to see similar deals return).

As always, we’ll be posting a copy of their ad, sale start/end dates and all the important details for 2021 the moment we know more. Be sure to check back again soon for the latest updates or join our newsletter to stay informed.

Expected 2021 Start & End Dates

Historically, Macy’s always launched their Black Friday sale on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. But when COVID-19 hit last year, they, along with most of the other big box and department stores, kicked off the sale earlier then ever before. Given that we’re still not out of the woods yet with the pandemic, you can expect Macy’s Black Friday sale to once again begin early. If they follow the same sales schedule as last year then these are the start and end dates that you can expect to see:

  • Expected “BF Preview” deals start date: Monday November 15, 2021 in stores and online.
  • Expect main BF start date: Tuesday November 23, 2021 (that’s 2 days before Thanksgiving), in-stores and online.
  • Expected sale end date: Saturday November 27, 2021 or while supplies last.

Keep in mind that all Macy’s stores last year were closed for the entire day on Thursday, Thanksgiving day (November 26, 2020) as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Many other stores and malls/outlets were also closed. But will that be the case again here in 2021? It’s too early to say but the moment we know more we’ll post the details for you right here on Blacker Friday.

Our Favorite Deals for 2021

We’ve been tracking Macy’s Black Friday sale for several years and have a general sense as to the offers they usually run. Here’s what you should be on the lookout for this Thanksgiving weekend:

  • Small Appliances — When you think Macy’s, think KitchenAid. Not only can you expect mixer deals on Artisan, Pro and Classic models but also on KitchenAid accessories like the meat grinder and slicer attachments. They also had the Keurig K-Select K80 on sale for $79.99 and Ninja Pro Blender on sale for $69.99. Generally, last year all coffee makers, blenders and juicers were 20% off with an extra 20% off applied at checkout.
  • Home Cleaning — If it’s time to replacing your aging corded vacuums with a sleek, new, lightweight battery operated vacuum then Black Friday is when to do it. Last year Macy’s had all Dyson vacuums at $100 to $200 off the list price. You also had the Shark Rocket cordless vacuum on sale for $149.99 and nice little Black & Decker handheld vacuum on sale for just $9.99 after rebate. And for those of you that hate cleaning up after yourselves, the wi-fi enabled Shark Ion robot vacuum was on sale for $179.99 (compare to the iRobot Roomba).
  • Home Decor — With the holidays approaching, Macy’s has pages of deals on Christmas ornaments, tableware, scented candles and other home decor. Last year some of the highlighted specials included 60% off on Moose Munch candles (comparable to Woodwick and Yankee Candle), 60% off select ornaments (although not on the famous Swarovski Christmas ornaments), and up to 70% off on Oneida silverware sets (comparable to Mikasa dinnerware sets). We also liked their Villeroy & Boch New Wave & French Garden tableware collections from last year that were up to 60% off.
