What to expect at Macy's Black Friday 2023 Sale

We’re already looking forward to Macy’s Black Friday 2023 sale. Although we still have a long ways to go, you can already slowly start planning for the event. Check out last year’s ad and offer details posted below to get a general idea of the type of deals that they like to run. Black Friday 2023 Start & End Dates

Just like many of the other big retailers across the country, including Walmart and Target, Macy’s has been following the trend of starting their Black Friday sales in early November. And if the trend continues here in 2023 (which it likely will!) then this is the sales schedule that you can expect to see:

Expected 1st round of early-BF deals: November 6-12, 2023 in stores and online.
Expected 2nd round of early-BF deals: November 13-18, 2023 in stores and online.
Expected main BF sales event, start date: Sunday November 19, 2023 (that’s 4 days before Thanksgiving). Stores are expected to once again be closed on Thanksgiving day itself but open early on Friday morning.
Expected main BF sale event, end date: Saturday November 25, 2023 or while supplies last.

Keep in mind that these dates are still just our predictions and, at the moment, unconfirmed. We’ll post the official sale dates for 2023 as soon as we are able to confirm them.

Last Year’s Black Friday Ad

Updated on Monday November 7, 2022: Macy’s Black Friday 2022 ad is now posted! See all 16 pages below plus the full sale details and 2022 start/end dates. Here’s a quick rundown of the sale this year:

Similar to Walmart and Target, Macy’s will once again run 3 separate week-long Black Friday events throughout the month of November (each with separate deals). The first round of specials will kick off on November 7th, the second on November 14th, and the third on November 20th. The sale ends on Saturday November 26th or while in-stock supplies last. The start and end dates for each specific offer is listed in the ad.
You’ll be able to shop all of the deals both in-stores and online. Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, they’ve stopped offering in-store-only doorbuster specials (they used to offer a page of free-after-rebate deals they were very popular).
On top of the featured specials highlighted in their Black Friday ad, you’ll find an extra 10% to 20% off coupon on the last page of the ad to use on select categories across the store.
In terms of the deals, small kitchen appliances, fragrances, apparel, home goods, jewelry and decor are among the featured categories you’ll find in their ad.
