Updated on Thursday September 5, 2024: Although we still have sometime left to go until Macy’s Black Friday 2024 sale officially kicks off, we wanted to give you a quick rundown on what you can expect to see this year. Here are our 2024 predictions:
- Macy’s Black Friday 2024 ad is expected to be just under 20 pages long and should be released on or around Monday November 11, 2024 (that’s based off of last year’s schedule).
- Select early BF deals should are expected to arrive on Friday November 15, 2024 (that’s 2 weeks before Black Friday). The main event should begin Sunday November 24, 2024 and run through Saturday November 30, 2024 or while in-stock supplies last.
- In terms of the deals, Macy’s usually offers 25-70% off across a wide range of products, including clothing, accessories, home goods, beauty products, and more. On top of that, a coupon is usually offered for an extra 10% to 20% off on qualifying product categories.
- If shopping locally, stores are likely to be closed again on Thanksgiving day itself. However, we’re expecting store hours to be extended just like last year over the holiday weekend:
- Friday from 6:00AM to 11:00PM.
- Saturday from 10:00AM to 10:00PM.
- Sunday from 11:00AM to 8:00PM.
- If you’re a Star Reward member then you will also earn points on all of your purchases (with the exception of gift cards).

Macy’s Black Friday 2024 Start & End Dates
Just like many of the other big retailers across the country, including Walmart and Target, Macy’s has been following the trend of starting their Black Friday sales in early November. You can expect the trend to continue this year as well. Here’s a look at this year’s predicted sales schedule:
- Expected early-BF deals: Be on the lookout for select early Black Friday deals arriving both in-stores and online from November 15-23, 2024.
- Expected main BF sales event, start date: Sunday November 24, 2024 (that’s 4 days before Thanksgiving). Stores are expected to once again be closed on Thanksgiving day itself but open early on Friday morning.
- Expected main BF sale event, end date: Saturday November 30, 2024 or while supplies last.
