Hermès Black Friday 2025 Sale – What to Expect & When

If you’re holding out hope that Hermès might surprise everyone with a big Black Friday sale this year, I hate to break it to you — it’s not happening. Not in 2025. Not ever.

Hermès doesn’t do Black Friday. They never have. This isn’t a maybe-they’ll-change-their-mind kind of thing. It’s just not part of how they operate. Unlike mid-range or even some high-end brands that jump on the holiday discount bandwagon, Hermès stays out of it completely. No markdowns, no flash sales, no secret coupon codes. Period.

The reason is simple: Hermès is all about exclusivity. Like Chanel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, they protect their brand value by not offering discounts that might make their products feel less special. But even among those names, Hermès stands out. Their approach is even more selective.

Now, they do have sales — but only twice a year and only in one place: Paris. That’s it. These are their Summer and Winter sample sales. The Winter sale usually happens in January, and the Summer one takes place in June. Each lasts just two days.

But there’s a big catch. These sales are held in-person, in Paris only. No online access, no international boutique participation. And if you want in, you’ll need to be willing to line up hours before the doors open — like 2:00AM early. It’s not uncommon for people to wait six hours or more just to get inside. These sales are popular, and many people attending are there to resell the products.

The good news? If you do make it in, the discounts can be huge — sometimes up to 70% off. But even then, it only really makes sense if you’re planning to buy a few things. Otherwise, the time and effort (not to mention the cost of traveling to Paris) might not be worth it.

So no, Hermès won’t be part of the Black Friday chaos this year. And they won’t suddenly change their mind at the last minute either. If you’re still looking to score a deal over Thanksgiving weekend, brands like Coach, Tory Burch, and Kate Spade usually have solid sales. But Hermès? Not on the list. They play by their own rules.

Here’s a few pics below of what the Hermès sale looks like and some of the items folks have picked up from previous hauls. Enjoy!

    1. With the COVID-19 situation, it’s hard to say… But I wouldn’t be surprised if they skipped the sale altogether this year.

  1. where in Paris did those Hermès sales take place in the past? at one of their warehouses or a rented location? in downtown Paris or in Pantin?

  2. Im a flight attendant and can fly whenever. The pandemic has ruined alot this year, will their be a sale this year?

    1. Hi Yvettra — It’s unlikely, especially as COVID-19 cases are drastically rising in France and the rest of Europe at the moment. It’s expected to get worse as we approach winter with more lockdowns on the way. 🙁
