When Will The Home Depot’s Black Friday 2025 Sale Likely Start?
The official Black Friday ad is expected to be released/leaked just ahead of Thanksgiving, probably on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Sometimes it shows up a little earlier, but in past years, the timing has been pretty consistent around that date.
The actual sale is expected to kick off online at homedepot.com on Thanksgiving Day, which is Thursday, November 27, 2025. Keep in mind, while the website will go live with deals, all physical stores are closed all day on Thanksgiving itself.
In-store shopping typically begins the next day, on Black Friday, November 28, 2025, at 6:00 AM local time. The sale usually runs through Cyber Monday and is expected to ends around Wednesday, December 3, 2025, unless things sell out earlier—which happens for popular doorbuster items.
Types of Items You’ll Likely See on Sale
Here’s a breakdown of the main categories that usually feature heavily during Home Depot’s Black Friday event:
1. Holiday Décor
This is a big one. Artificial Christmas trees, lights, wreaths, and live poinsettias are often featured in doorbuster-style deals. Last year, for example, they had a 7.5-foot Pre-Lit Edgewater Pine Christmas Tree for $79 (down from $199), and live poinsettia plants 2 for $50, though the latter was a Black Friday-only deal, often with quantity limits (typically 20 per customer).
2. Tools and Equipment
This category is a Black Friday staple at Home Depot. Expect big discounts on brands like Milwaukee, Ryobi, and Ridgid. In 2024, shoppers saw:

Interior paint promos have become a regular thing during Black Friday at Home Depot. In 2024, Behr Premium Plus Interior Flat Paint & Primer was on sale for $30.98 per gallon.
Flooring isn’t overlooked either. Last year, 24”x48” large format porcelain tiles were marked down to $2.49 per sq. ft., down from $2.79. Multiple styles were included, offering solid savings for anyone mid-renovation.
8. Grills and Outdoor Gear
Cold weather doesn’t stop grill deals. Home Depot featured a 2-burner MegaMaster gas grill for $99, down from $119. They also featured a few larger, more expensive BBQ grills on sale.
