These discounts usually apply to long-term plans (like one- or two-year terms). Monthly plans might be discounted too, but the biggest percentage off is almost always reserved for customers who are ready to commit to at least a year.

The exact discount will vary depending on the plan type, but as a general rule:

• Shared hosting gets the biggest percentage discount

• VPS and Dedicated hosting see smaller percentage cuts, but still decent overall savings

• WordPress hosting falls somewhere in between, depending on whether it’s managed or essential

Shared Hosting Deals

If you’re just starting out or running a simple website, shared hosting is probably the most affordable way to get online. Last year, InMotion offered shared hosting starting at $1.99/month, and I expect that same or similar price to return this year. That’s a steep drop from their usual starting rate, which is typically around $8.99/month outside of promo periods.

• Small business sites

• Portfolio pages

There are usually a few shared hosting plans available. The cheapest tier tends to be where that $1.99/month rate comes into play, but if you’re looking for more resources (like more websites or email addresses), you’ll probably want one of the higher tiers, which might run you $2.49 to $4.99/month during the sale.

One thing to know: these plans usually include free SSL, email, and a website builder, which is handy if you’re trying to get online quickly without needing a lot of technical skills.

VPS Hosting Deals

If you’ve outgrown shared hosting or need more control over your server environment, InMotion’s VPS hosting deals are worth a look. In 2024, they offered VPS plans starting at $4.99/month, which was one of their lowest prices ever for that service tier. If that same pricing returns in 2025, it’ll be a strong option for developers or growing businesses.

These plans are good for:

Here’s a look at what to expect this year, including the likely sale dates, what kind of deals you can expect, and a few examples of what was on sale last year so you can plan ahead.

Likely Black Friday 2025 Sale Dates

Based on past trends, illy’s Black Friday 2025 sale is expected to start on or around Monday, November 17, 2025 directly at illy.com, which is ten days before Thanksgiving. If the brand sticks to the same schedule as last year, the sale should end on Cyber Monday, which falls on December 1, 2025, at 9:00 AM EST, or earlier if stock runs out.

That gives you about two full weeks to take advantage of the deals—assuming nothing sells out too quickly. Last year, some popular items did run out before the final day, so it’s better not to wait until the last minute.

What’s Usually on Sale

If illy follows the same formula as in previous years, then you can expect a couple of main discount categories:

• 25% off select coffee products

• 15% off Nespresso-compatible espresso capsules

The 25% discount usually covers a variety of illy’s packaged coffee options, including ground coffee, whole beans, and sometimes specialty roasts. However, not everything is included. Last year, items like the illy Art Collection cup sets and subscription-based items were excluded from the deal.

The 15% discount was more specific and applied only to illy’s espresso capsules that are compatible with Nespresso machines. Again, subscriptions and recurring delivery programs weren’t part of the sale.

Free Shipping Minimum

Last year, illy offered free shipping on orders of $50 or more, which is fairly standard for their sales. That threshold makes it easy to hit free shipping if you’re buying a few cans of coffee or stocking up on capsule packs. It’s a good idea to aim for that $50 minimum so you’re not paying extra for shipping.

Things Not Included in the Sale

Not everything on illy’s website gets discounted during Black Friday. In 2024, the exclusions were clearly outlined, and there’s a good chance the same rules will apply this year. Here’s what wasn’t eligible for the discount last year:

• Subscriptions: Anything tied to the illy a casa coffee subscription, espresso machine subscription, capsule subscription, or small office subscription programs was not discounted.

• Art Collection Cup Sets: These collectible items didn’t qualify for the sale.

• Capsules Compatible with Nespresso: While there was a separate 15% off deal for these, they were not part of the broader 25% off promotion.

• Any other promotions: The discounts couldn’t be combined with other offers.

That means if you’re signed up for an auto-delivery subscription or hoping to get a deal on a collectible cup set, you’ll probably be out of luck during this sale.

  These themed cans of coffee were included in the 25% off deal, making them a good gift option at a reduced price.

• Decaf Options
  Both ground and whole bean decaf coffee were included in the 25% discount section.

There was a decent variety across roast levels (Classico, Intenso, Forte) and formats (ground, whole bean, capsule), which gave shoppers a lot of flexibility depending on how they brew their coffee.

Who Can Shop the Sale

The offer is typically limited to North American customers only. That includes U.S. and Canadian shoppers, but excludes Europe and those physically located in European countries. If you’re based outside of North America, the Black Friday sale on illy.com won’t apply to your order.
