When Will Best Buy’s Black Friday 2025 Sale Start and End?

Best Buy has officially announced that its holiday shopping season will kick off on Halloween (Thursday, October 31, 2025) — much earlier than expected. The retailer is introducing DoorBOOsters™, a spooky twist on its classic doorbusters, which will launch on October 31 and continue every Friday throughout the holiday season on bestbuy.com, the Best Buy App, and in stores.

Here’s the confirmed 2025 holiday calendar:

• Thursday, October 31, 2025: First DoorBOOsters™ go live with special Halloween savings to kick off the holiday season.

• Every Friday through the holidays: Additional weekly doorbusters drop on select tech items like laptops, TVs, gaming gear, and more.

• Thursday, November 20, 2025: The official start of Best Buy’s main Black Friday Sale, featuring deeper savings on major categories like computing, gaming, home theater, wearables, and more.

• Sunday, November 30, 2025: Launch of Best Buy’s Cyber Sunday & Cyber Monday Sale, where shoppers can save up to 50% off select tech and enjoy limited-time online deals.

Members of My Best Buy Plus™ and My Best Buy Total™ will receive up to $25 in bonus rewards during select doorbuster events this holiday season.

Will Best Buy Be Open on Thanksgiving?

Best Buy has confirmed that stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (November 27, 2025) to give employees time with their families. However, deals will still be live online and in the Best Buy App throughout the day.

Stores will reopen with extended hours starting in early November (from November 2 onward) and will likely open early on Black Friday morning (November 28, 2025) for in-store shoppers. Check your local store page for specific hours.

What Discounts Can You Expect?

As usual, Best Buy’s Black Friday deals will span nearly every department, from 4K and OLED TVs to gaming consoles, smart home tech, laptops, small appliances, and major kitchen appliances.

This year, Best Buy is also spotlighting immersive in-store experiences, including demos of new tech like Meta Ray-Ban Display, Copilot+ PCs, and premium appliance displays from Shark, Ninja, Dyson, and Breville. Select stores will even debut an IKEA experience, showcasing how tech and design work together.

Extended Return & Price Match Policies

Best Buy is keeping its Holiday Price Match Guarantee, meaning if the price of a product drops during the season, Best Buy will match it.

As for returns, the Extended Holiday Return and Exchange Policy now covers most gifts purchased between October 31 and December 31, which can be returned through January 15, 2026.
Plus and Total members get even more time (through January 31, 2026) on most purchases.
