Best Buy Black Friday 2021 Sale & Ad – What to Expect

Updated on Wednesday October 20, 2021: There is still some time left to go until Best Buy’s Black Friday sale arrives again but you can scroll down the page to view last year’s details to get a general idea of the type of offers they typically run (you can expect to see similar deals return).

However, you may not have to wait until Black Friday to grab the best deals. Best Buy just launched their “Black Friday Price Guarantee” offer to help you get a head start on your holiday shopping. All Best Buy Totaltech or My Best Buy members that shop qualifying items with a “Black Friday Prices Guaranteed” message on the store price tag or on their site through November 18th will get a refund of the price difference if that exact item goes on sale for less than when you paid for it prior to Friday November 26, 2021. However that does exclude coupons, bundles and free-with-purchase offers so just keep that in mind as there’s still a way Best Buy can get around the offer. Full offer details can be found at

As always, we’ll be posting a copy of their ad, sale start/end dates and all the important details for 2021 the moment we know more. Be sure to check back again soon for the latest updates or join our newsletter to stay informed.

Black Friday 2021 Start & End Dates

This is now the 10th consecutive year that we’ve been tracking Best Buy’s Black Friday sales. And if this year will be anything like what we saw last year, then you can expect nearly a month of deals in November. While it’s still too early to have their Black Friday and holiday schedule for 2021, we’re including last year’s schedule below so you can get a general idea of what’s likely to come.

  • The “Wish List” sale: Ran from November 5-8.
  • 1-day “Treat Yourself” sale: Ran from November 11.
  • The “Coolest Deals” sale: Ran from November 12-14.
  • Black Friday Early Access: Ran from November 16-17. Many of these deals were pulled from the main Black Friday ad and were available for My Best Buy members only.
  • Main Black Friday sale: Began on Sunday November 22nd. This was the Sunday before Thanksgiving weekend.
  • 1-day only Thanksgiving day deals: Available only on Thursday November 26 (online only!). We have confirmed that all Best Buy stores nationwide will be closed ALL DAY for the second year in a row on Thanksgiving day itself. Stores expected to open at 5:00AM on Black Friday morning.
  • Cyber Monday sale: Began on Saturday November 28.

Best Buy’s confirmed Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale dates/times for 2021 will be posted as soon as they are officially announced by the company. Bookmark this page and check back periodically for the latest updates or signup to our newsletter and we’ll let you know once their ad is released.

Our Favorite Deals for 2021

From all the Black Friday ads that we track, Best Buy’s is one of our favorites. Here’s our list of things that you should keep an eye out for over Thanksgiving weekend:

  • Televisions — During these last few years, TV’s have been featured at all of the big box stores including Target, Walmart, Costco, and BJ’s. That’s probably because each year the quality keeps getting better and the prices keep falling. This year is expected to be no different. Last year Best Buy featured 50” Insignia LED 4K SmartFire TV for just $149.99. They also had a 75” Samsung QLED TV on sale for $1197.99 and a cheaper TCL 75” 4K UHD LED TV on sale for $499.99.
  • Computers/Tablets — I remember back about ten years ago when folks would camp out in front of Best Buy for days to be able to pick up on of their doorbuster laptops on sale. Although those days are now over, the laptop deals are still some of the best you’ll find on Black Friday. Be on the lookout for both low-end ones on sale for under $200, like last year’s 11” HP Chromebook on sale for just $149, and premium ones on sale like select Apple MacBook Pro’s for up to $250 off.
  • Games — Now that the Coronavirus pandemic is keeping us indoors more, sales of gaming consoles have soared this last year. On top of that, we’ve got the all new PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles that we’re just released late last year. And while last holiday season it was nearly impossible to find either of these on sale, this Thanksgiving weekend is when are expecting to see both availability and bundled bargains. If you’re still sticking to your older system, then deals on PS4, Xbox One S and Nintendo Switch games are expected as well.
  • Small Kitchen Appliances — Are you finding yourself cooking at home much more than ever before? Then you’re not alone as COVID-19 has forced many of us to stop eating out on the town as much. I know that as I began cooking more home meals this year, especially for the kids that are now at home, I realized how much I was missing some critical kitchen appliances. Be on the lookout for deals this holiday weekend on KitchenAid mixers, Ninja blenders and Instant Pot slow cookers. Best Buy typically also features specials on cleaning items such as iRobot Roomba and Dyson vacuums.
  • Gift Cards — Some of the best Christmas gifts are the ones we choose ourselves. That’s why gift cards are so popular, especially for the loved ones in our life that are impossible to buy for. But forget about paying face-value for gift cards, Best Buy usually has a number of different ones that are discounted. Last year Apple App Store and iTunes gift cards were 20% off on $100 and others like Domino’s Pizza and Showtime were 15% off the face value.

  1. I want to buy a tv for my newly remodeled basement. Sony 65” OLED would be great but waiting for an even better deal than what they offer right now. I can’t spend more than $1.5k.

  2. I’m looking to upgrade to xBox One X… I’m hoping Best Buy’s Black Friday bundles deals are better than last year.
