Here’s everything you need to know, including key dates, discounts, and what to buy.
When Does DWR’s 2025 Black Friday Sale Start?
DWR’s Black Friday sale began Friday, November 14, 2025, and runs through Tuesday, December 2, 2025, ending a day after Cyber Monday. Offers are available both online at dwr.com and in-store.
How Big Are the Discounts?
During this year’s sale, shoppers can enjoy:
- Up to 50% off select sale items throughout the store.
- 25% off nearly everything else in stock, sitewide and storewide.
Discounts apply to merchandise only—excluding gift cards, taxes, and shipping. The offer is nontransferable, cannot be combined with other promotions or past orders, and is not valid for future deliveries. At DWR Outlets, the offer applies only to regularly priced items, and product exclusions apply.
What’s Usually Included?
If 2025 is anything like last year, you can expect a lot of Herman Miller classics to be included in the 25% off deal. That means favorites like:
- Aeron Chair – One of the most ergonomic and iconic office chairs around.
- Embody Chair – Another high-end office chair with deep back support.
- Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman – A mid-century icon and a dream piece for design lovers.
- Sayl Chair – A more affordable Herman Miller office chair with a unique design.
- Nelson Bench – A versatile piece that works in entryways, living rooms, or bedrooms.
Besides that, DWR usually includes discounts on lighting, outdoor furniture, living room seating, dining furniture, desks, and accessories. You won’t find every item discounted, but the ones that are included often have pretty substantial markdowns.
If you’re shopping for something specific, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on those “select finishes” or “limited stock” labels. DWR often limits discounts to certain configurations or colors.
What’s Usually Excluded?
Design Within Reach is pretty clear on exclusions. Last year, here’s what was not included in the deal:
- Gift Cards
- Taxes and certain shipping costs
- Previously purchased items (you couldn’t get a price adjustment)
- Future deliveries (if the item wasn’t available to ship during the sale window)
- Items already on promotion or discount
- Some brand or product exclusions (not every designer or line is included)
Also, if you’re planning to shop through a DWR Outlet, the discount typically only applies to regularly priced items, not to clearance or already-discounted outlet merchandise. So don’t expect a double-dip on markdowns there.
Will Cyber Monday Have Better Deals?
Probably not. DWR doesn’t usually offer a separate Cyber Monday promotion that’s dramatically different from the main Holiday Sale. In the past, any “Cyber Week” mention just referred to the ongoing sale period. So, if you’re hoping to hold out for an even better discount on Cyber Monday, don’t count on it.
The deepest discounts tend to be available earlier in the sale, and some products may start to sell out before Thanksgiving. So if you see a piece you want with a strong discount, it’s probably best to grab it rather than wait.
