PetSmart usually spreads its Black Friday discounts across pet food, treats, toys, beds, crates, cat furniture, aquariums and grooming rather than offering one sitewide percentage. Recent holiday sales have included discounts in the 30% to 50% range, along with buy-more-save-more offers and bonus Treats Rewards points.

When Will PetSmart Black Friday 2026 Start?

We expect online deals at petsmart.com to begin around Thanksgiving Day, November 26, with the in-store event starting on Black Friday, November 27.

That follows PetSmart’s recent pattern. For 2025, the sale was expected to begin online on Thanksgiving before stores opened for Black Friday the following morning.

Some early deals could appear sooner, so it is worth checking the site during the week before Thanksgiving rather than waiting until Friday.

How Much Will PetSmart Take Off?

There probably will not be a blanket percentage across the entire store.

Those offers are useful benchmarks for 2026, although the exact brands and products will change.

Pet Food May Not Be the Biggest Black Friday Bargain

PetSmart discounts food throughout the year, so a 20% Black Friday offer is good but not necessarily unusual.

Right now, for example, PetSmart is offering 50% off the first Autoship order on many Purina Pro Plan products. Other current food promotions include pickup discounts and recurring Autoship savings.

If you are buying the same food every month, compare the Black Friday price with Autoship before stocking up. A one-time holiday discount may not be the cheapest option.

Beds, Crates and Cat Furniture Are Better Categories to Watch

Larger pet accessories tend to be more interesting during Black Friday because 30% to 40% discounts can produce meaningful dollar savings.

A $100 dog bed at 40% off drops to $60, while a $150 crate at 30% off falls to $105. If you already planned to replace a bed, kennel, scratching post or cat tree, Thanksgiving week is likely worth waiting for.

Seasonal pet merchandise is another category to watch. PetSmart has previously taken 50% off much of its holiday assortment during Black Friday.

Aquarium Deals Could Be Among the Best

Aquatics has historically been one of PetSmart’s stronger Black Friday categories.

Select Top Fin starter aquarium kits have reached 50% off, including sizes ranging from small desktop setups to much larger tanks.

For anyone planning to start or upgrade an aquarium, that kind of discount is more compelling than saving 15% or 20% on everyday consumables.

Don’t Forget Treats Rewards

It makes sense to join PetSmart Treats Rewards before the sale if you are not already a member.

The program is free and currently earns 10 points for every $1 spent on qualifying merchandise and services. Every 1,000 points can be redeemed for $2 in savings, and members can receive personalized offers and early access to sales.

Treats Rewards members also currently get free shipping on qualifying orders of $49 or more.

PetSmart’s terms allow points to be combined with other discounts in many cases, although individual promotions can have their own restrictions.

Should You Wait for Cyber Monday?

Not if something you need is already 40% or 50% off.

PetSmart’s better Black Friday offers can be limited by inventory, particularly holiday toys, beds, aquariums and larger accessories. Waiting until Cyber Monday could save a little more on something else, but there is no guarantee that the same product will receive a better price.

For food, litter and other regularly stocked products, waiting is less risky because similar promotions come around throughout the year.
