Updated on Thursday, November 20, 2025: Apple has officially confirmed its annual Black Friday shopping event, and as expected, the company is sticking with its familiar rewards-based promotion all the way through Cyber Monday. Instead of discounting hardware, Apple will give shoppers an Apple Gift Card with the purchase of select products. It’s an approach Apple has used for years, and while it doesn’t lower prices upfront, the included gift cards can offer meaningful value if you regularly buy apps, accessories, services, or upgrade devices through Apple.
Here’s the full breakdown of Apple’s 2025 Black Friday offerings, including models that qualify, how the gift cards work, and what limitations customers should be aware of.
When Apple’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2025 Event Takes Place
Apple’s 2025 promotion will run for exactly four days from November 28 through December 1, 2025. These offers will be available from:
- Apple.com
- The Apple Store mobile app
- Apple retail stores in participating regions
Apple explicitly limits the promotion to new purchases only and only while supplies last, meaning popular items like AirPods and iPads may run out early.

Apple is offering gift cards valued between $25 and $250 depending on the device. Some categories even include multiple models at different reward levels.

What to Know About Apple’s Gift Card Terms
Apple’s promotional gift cards are not standard add-ons. According to the event terms, customers technically “receive a discount equivalent to the gift card value,” meaning:
- The total purchase price still includes both the product and the gift card
- The value of the gift card is effectively treated as a discount applied at checkout
- The promotional amount cannot be exchanged for cash
- It cannot be used for prior purchases
In addition, Apple may limit quantities and reserves the right to cancel orders deemed to be resellers or bulk buyers.
Holiday Return Window and Exceptions
Apple is extending its return period for most eligible purchases made during the event. Items bought between November 12 and December 25, 2025 can be returned until January 8, 2026.
Important exclusions:
- iPhones purchased through a carrier installment plan (T-Mobile or Verizon) do not receive extended returns
- Standard return policies apply for these carrier-connected purchases
Trade-In Policy During the Event
Apple is also continuing its trade-in program during the promotion. Trade-in values depend on condition, configuration, and device age. Some devices may not qualify at all.
Additional conditions include:
- Local laws may require ID storage during in-store trade-ins
- Not all participating stores accept every device type
- Sales tax may still be applied to the price of a new device before trade-in value is deducted
- Apple or its trade-in partners can refuse any trade-in for any reason
Trade-in credit can be issued toward a new purchase or as an Apple Gift Card.
