It must seem like everyone’s running a Black Friday sale this year. And is most cases, they are. But there’s a few notable stores that will both be closed on Thanksgiving day and will not be running any Black Friday sales at all. One of them is HomeGoods.
Yes, it’s true, HomeGoods does not run any storewide discounts, doorbuster deals or anything else over Thanksgiving weekend. The same goes for other similar off-price retailers like TJMaxx, Marshalls and Ross. It’s because everything in the store is already offered much lower than the retail sticker price so there’s not much more room left to slash prices.
In addition, HomeGoods has historically always been closed all day on Thanksgiving day itself to give their employees time off with family. Stores are expected to reopen on Friday morning with some locations opening as early as 7:00AM. You can also expect extended holiday hours for the long holiday weekend as well.
