What Counts as a Good Pier 1 Black Friday Deal?
This is the part I would pay attention to.
Pier 1 is already running 30% off sitewide for Labor Day 2026. It also regularly runs 20% off sitewide and buy-more-save-more promotions.
So our rough guide is:

If Black Friday only gives a particular item 30% off, there is a good chance you will see a similar sale at another point in the year.
Holiday Decor and Fragrance Should Be Worth Watching
Pier 1 is still a good place to watch for smaller holiday gifts and seasonal decor.
Last Black Friday, Li Bien ornaments started at $12.99 and fragrance was buy one, get one free.
Pier 1 currently sells reed diffusers for around $24.95 to $34, so another BOGO offer could effectively bring the price down to roughly $12 to $17 each when buying two qualifying items.
Throws, pillows, candles and tabletop decor are also the categories where we would look for 40% to 50% off.
Furniture Is Where the Dollar Savings Get Bigger
A 30% discount on a $40 pillow saves $12.
The same discount on a $500 piece of furniture saves $150.
Pier 1 currently carries more than 1,100 furniture products, including accent chairs, dining chairs, tables, sofas and bedroom furniture.
If a chair or table you already want reaches 40% or 50% off, that is much more interesting than simply chasing the biggest percentage on a small decor item.
One thing to check before ordering is shipping. Pier 1 says oversized furniture can require freight delivery, and shipping charges may be calculated at checkout unless a free-shipping promotion applies.
Should You Wait Until Black Friday?
For something currently only 20% or 30% off, probably.
Last year’s Black Friday event reached up to 60% off, so there is room for a better price in November.
If an item is already 50% off today, however, we would not wait three months just because Black Friday is coming.
Pier 1 has more than 2,000 products in its current sale section, so clearance and regular promotions can sometimes beat the Black Friday price.

We expect the main details during Thanksgiving week, likely around November 25.
