Costco’s Black Friday 2025 Sale – What to Expect & When

What’s coming at Costco’s Black Friday sale this year? While nothing is official just yet for 2025, based on last year’s ad, previous trends and patterns, and the usual Costco style of doing things, we’ve put together a breakdown of what you can expect this year.

When Will Costco’s Black Friday 2025 Sale Start?

Costco doesn’t just wait until the day after Thanksgiving to drop deals. They break up their promotions into several phases leading up to Black Friday, and then it all wraps up right after Cyber Monday.

Here’s the rough timeline of what we’re expecting this year:

  • Early Season Sale: October 31 – November 16, 2025
    These are some of the first holiday deals of the season. You’ll probably start to see markdowns on everyday essentials, early electronics deals, and small appliances. These deals usually show up both in-store and online.

  • Holiday Savings Event: November 17 – December 1, 2025
    This is the main stretch of Costco’s holiday promotions. Most of the big-ticket items—including TVs, laptops, jewelry, and home appliances—show up here. Last year, this part of the ad was 31 pages long, and it included Black Friday and Cyber Monday promos.

  • Thanksgiving Day Online-Only Sale: November 27, 2025
    Keep in mind that all Costco warehouse locations are closed on Thanksgiving Day. But if you’re shopping online, you’ll probably see an extra incentive. Last year, it was $50 off your total purchase of $400 or more, which was automatically applied at checkout (no code needed). Expect something similar this year.

  • Black Friday to Cyber Monday (The Main Event): November 28 – December 1, 2025
    This is when Costco brings out the biggest deals of the season. A mix of online and in-store offers goes live, and some deals might only last for a single day or until they sell out.

  • Cyber Monday-Only Online Sale: December 1, 2025
    On the Monday following Black Friday, they usually drop a batch of one-day-only online-exclusive deals to close out the sale. Think of this like the final wave of markdowns.

When Will the Costco Black Friday 2025 Ad Be Released?

Based on past years, the ad should leak (or officially go live) around Thursday, October 30, 2025. That’s almost exactly when it dropped last year, and it lined up well with the beginning of the “Early Season” deals on Halloween.

When it does come out, expect it to be long. Last year’s was 31 pages and covered just about everything Costco sells—from gadgets to groceries.

What Kind of Deals Will Be in the Costco Black Friday Ad?

Costco usually spreads the love across every department. That includes:

  • TVs and home audio

  • Laptops and tablets

  • Major appliances

  • Jewelry

  • Tires and auto accessories

  • Food and beverages

  • Kitchen appliances and cookware

  • Apparel and shoes

  • Holiday decorations

  • Toys and games

The key thing to know is that some items are online-only, some are in-store-only, and others are available through both. You’ll want to check the fine print in the ad so you don’t end up at a warehouse store trying to buy something that’s only available online.

Also, nearly every item in the ad has purchase limits. Most of the time, that’s a maximum of two to five per member. That’s not a problem for most folks, but if you’re planning to stock up or gift duplicates, keep it in mind.

Examples of Costco Black Friday Deals from Last Year

If you’re trying to get a sense of what kind of deals might show up this year, here are some of the notable ones that popped up in 2024. Prices may vary in 2025, but the types of products and discount levels are likely to be similar.

1. Coffee Lovers’ Favorite

On page 24 of the ad, Costco featured a 60-count box of Keurig K-Cup Pods (Roaster’s Reserve Collection) for $23.99, which was $6 off the regular price. It included five different coffee flavors. There was a limit of five boxes per member. For those who brew at home every day, this was an easy win.

2. High-End Vacuum Deal

If you’ve had your eye on a Dyson, Costco had the Dyson V15 Detect Total Clean Extra Cordless Stick Vacuum at $499.99, marked down by $200. This one showed up on page 25 of the ad. It was available both online and in-store. Same price as the previous year (2023), which suggests Costco might repeat it again.

3. Jewelry for the Holidays

On page 24, there was a standout jewelry deal: Round Brilliant 1.50 ctw diamond and white gold stud earrings for $1499.99, which was $400 off. That’s still a serious investment, but considering Costco already prices their jewelry competitively year-round, it’s worth comparing with Zales, Helzberg Diamonds and KAY Jewelers if you’re in the market for something sparkly.

4. Major Appliance Discounts

Costco doesn’t just compete with Lowe’s and The Home Depot—they often beat them on appliance deals, especially during Black Friday. One of the most popular offers was a Samsung 25 cu. ft. Mega Capacity Counter Depth 4-Door Refrigerator, discounted by a full $1,000. Just note: these big appliance deals tend to be online-only.

5. Sonos Sound Systems

Audio gear is usually featured on its own page. Last year, on page 26, they had the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) Soundbar at $369.99 after a $130 discount, and the Sonos Arc Soundbar at $719.99, marked down $180. Limits were five per item, per member. These are top-tier home theater options, and Costco usually throws in free shipping on these.

How Deep Are the Discounts?

Costco doesn’t always advertise discounts in percentage terms, but most markdowns fall into these general ranges:

  • TVs & Electronics: 15%–30% off

  • Appliances: $400 to $1,000 off depending on the model

  • Jewelry: $100 to $500 off

  • Coffee & Food Staples: $3–$10 off per bulk pack

  • Headphones & Soundbars: $100–$200 off

  • Kitchen Appliances: $10–$70 off

The store usually keeps its everyday prices fairly low, so the Black Friday deals tend to be moderate in terms of percentage but meaningful in dollar terms—especially when you’re talking about big items.

What About Shopping Online vs. In-Store?

There’s a big shift toward online shopping at Costco, especially during Black Friday. That’s partly because the warehouses themselves don’t do anything flashy in person. No doorbusters. No wild lines. Just a regular day of shopping, albeit with a few extra items on sale.

Some items are only available online. For example, last year’s Samsung appliance deals were online-only, and Thanksgiving Day deals were 100% online as well since the stores were closed.

If you prefer to shop in-store, doors usually open at 9:00 AM on Black Friday. Unlike other retailers, Costco doesn’t really see the mad rush of crowds. It’s usually a pretty chill experience.

Are There Any One-Day Deals?

Yes. On Cyber Monday (December 1, 2025), expect a limited selection of one-day-only deals that are online-exclusive. They’re usually focused on tech and electronics—laptops, headphones, speakers, possibly even fitness equipment or wearables like smartwatches.
