Straight Talk’s Black Friday deals tend to focus on discounted prepaid phones and free-device offers tied to qualifying service plans rather than a broad discount on monthly service. Walmart is also important because it carries a large selection of Straight Talk phones and often launches its holiday phone deals before Black Friday itself.

These are predictions based on previous Black Friday events and Straight Talk’s current promotional strategy.

When Will Straight Talk Black Friday 2026 Start?

We would begin checking walmart.com on Monday, November 23.

Last year’s Straight Talk Black Friday deals at Walmart kicked off several days before Thanksgiving, while deals directly from Straight Talk began closer to Black Friday itself. The strongest prepaid phone offers can also be quantity limited.

For 2026, that makes November 23–25 the most likely window for the first meaningful offers at Walmart, followed by additional deals on November 27 at straighttalk.com.

What Kind of Deals Should You Expect?

Straight Talk’s strongest offers are usually on the phone rather than the service plan.

Last year’s featured deals included a Samsung Galaxy A25 5G for $79.99 from $179.99 and a Motorola moto g power 5G for $39.99 from $149.99. The Samsung Galaxy A15 5G and Motorola edge 2024 were also offered free with qualifying plan purchases.

For 2026, we would look for:

Some Straight Talk Phones Are Already Very Cheap

Black Friday will have to beat prices that are already aggressive.

Walmart currently lists the Straight Talk Motorola moto g 2025 for $29.88, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G for $39.88 and the Moto G Play 2026 for $49.88. The newer moto g 2026 is currently $79.88.

That means a $10 or $20 Black Friday markdown on one of these phones would not be especially noteworthy. A better deal would be a free phone with service, a significant discount on a newer model or a higher-end device dropping into the budget-phone price range.

Watch the iPhone Deals Closely

Straight Talk’s Apple discounts are usually less dramatic than its Android offers, but the final prepaid price can still be competitive.

Walmart currently lists the Straight Talk iPhone 16e 128GB starting around $349, while Straight Talk itself is advertising a separate iPhone 16e offer that combines a discounted device price with service credits for customers switching to an eligible Platinum Unlimited plan.

For Black Friday, we would watch for an iPhone 16e price below $300 without complicated long-term requirements. Older iPhone models could fall further if inventory remains available.

Be sure to read the terms. A phone advertised as effectively free after service credits is different from a phone that costs $0 upfront with only one qualifying plan purchase.

Free Android Phones Could Be the Better Deal

Straight Talk is already using free-device promotions in 2026.

Its current offers have included a free Samsung Galaxy A17 with a Silver Unlimited plan or higher, and earlier promotions offered other Android devices free with extended-plan purchases.

That makes another round of free Samsung or Motorola phones highly likely for the holiday period.

The important calculation is the total cost of the required service. A free $150 phone tied to a plan you would have purchased anyway can be excellent. It is much less valuable if you are upgrading to a more expensive plan purely to qualify.

Don’t Expect Huge Discounts on the Silver Unlimited Plan

Straight Talk’s Silver Unlimited plan currently costs $45 per month for one line, with unlimited talk, text and data, 10GB of hotspot data and calling and texting to Canada and Mexico. New Auto Pay users currently pay $42.50 per month for their first three months.

Straight Talk tends to use these plans as the qualification requirement for phone promotions rather than heavily discounting the plans themselves.

Family pricing can be much more important. Straight Talk currently prices four Silver Unlimited lines at $100 per month, or $25 per line, before applicable taxes and fees.

For Black Friday, we would therefore pay more attention to phone-plus-plan bundles than wait for a dramatic reduction in the standard $45 price.

Gold and Platinum Plans Can Change the Value of a Deal

Higher-tier plans can come with additional benefits.

Straight Talk currently includes Walmart+ with eligible Gold and Platinum Unlimited plans. The Gold plan normally costs $55 per month, while Platinum is $65, although promotional Auto Pay pricing can reduce the initial cost.

Some premium phone promotions require one of these higher plans, so include the extra service cost when comparing deals.

A $300 phone discount is less impressive if you have to spend an extra $20 per month for a year on a plan you do not otherwise need.

Straight Talk or Walmart?

Check both.

Straight Talk’s own site can have online-only bundles, free phones and plan incentives, while Walmart often has unusually low outright prepaid phone prices. Straight Talk also maintains a major retail relationship with Walmart, and its phones and plans are widely stocked there.

The same phone can also have different promotional requirements at each store. Compare:

• the phone’s upfront price
• required service plan
• number of months you must maintain service
• whether savings come immediately or through monthly credits
• activation requirements
• included accessories

A lower advertised phone price does not always produce the lower total cost.

Should You Wait for Cyber Monday?

Probably not for a free or heavily discounted phone.

Cyber Monday falls on November 30 in 2026, and Straight Talk may extend some offers through the weekend. Last year’s sale was expected to continue through Cyber Monday.

However, prepaid phones at unusually low prices can sell out. If Walmart or Straight Talk offers the exact device you want for free with a plan you already use, or at a price substantially below today’s levels, waiting several more days is unlikely to be worth the inventory risk.

When Will Straight Talk Black Friday 2026 Be Confirmed?

We expect the first meaningful Black Friday information during the second half of November, with Walmart deals potentially appearing before Straight Talk’s direct sale.

The main numbers we’ll be watching are the prices on Samsung Galaxy A-series and Motorola phones, any iPhone 16e or older-iPhone discounts, and which devices qualify for free-phone promotions.
