Updated on Saturday, November 2, 2024: With Thanksgiving weekend just around the corner, let’s take a look at what’s likely coming at Hy-Vee’s Black Friday 2024 sale:
- Hy-Vee’s Black Friday sale typically runs for 3-days; expect it to begin on Black Friday itself (November 29, 2024) and end on Sunday night (December 1, 2024) or while in-stock supplies last. However, some offers will only be valid on Black Friday only.
- Unlike at some of their competitors, Hy-Vee’s Black Friday ad is pretty short, often just a few pages long. One part of the ad will likely feature a handful of 3-day deals and the other only what’s offered on Black Friday itself. Some of last year’s featured deals included:
- A $20 Hy-Vee gift card for every $100 spend on qualifying gift-cards. That included gift cards for stores such as Bass Pro Shops, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Starbucks, Nike, Playstation Store, Disney, Dominos Pizza and Apple. Note: This was a Friday-only deal.
- 20% off all beauty and cosmetics products.
- 25% off all Hallmark-brand boxed Christmas and holiday cards.
- A $10 Hy-Vee gift card when you spent $75 or more on qualifying toys and housewares.
- Grab & Go food deals starting at $4.99

Hy-Vee is known for running a few pages of pre-holiday deals as we head into Thanksgiving but their main Black Friday event has always begun on Black Friday itself. This year is expected to be no different!
- Expected BF sale start date: Friday, November 29, 2024 (that’s on Black Friday itself).
- Expected BF sale end date: When stores close on Sunday, December 1, 2024 or while quantities last, except for “Black Friday Only” deals as noted in the ad.
