When the Gilt Black Friday 2025 Sale Will Likely Start

Gilt doesn’t usually roll out an extended Black Friday event like many other retailers. Bass, both online and in-store. Here’s everything you need to know, from the expected sale dates and what kind of discounts to look out for, to which items are likely to be included and what was on sale last year.

Expected Black Friday Sale Dates for 2025

Based on how G.H. Bass has timed its previous Black Friday events, the 2025 sale is likely to start on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. That’s two days before Thanksgiving and three days before Black Friday itself.

The sale typically runs through Cyber Monday, which this year lands on December 1, 2025. However, it’s important to note that some styles may sell out early, especially in popular sizes.

Where to Shop the Sale

You’ll probably be able to shop the Black Friday event at:

  • G.H. Bass’s official website (ghbass.com)
  • Bass Factory Outlet stores across the U.S.

GAP Black Friday 2025 Sale – What to Expect & When

Updated on Tuesday, November 11, 2025: If you’ve ever shopped at GAP around Black Friday, you probably know the deal by now that there’s a lot of promotional noise, multiple rounds of similar discounts, and a flood of “ending soon” messages that don’t actually mean the deals are over. But if you’re planning on doing some wardrobe updates, GAP’s Black Friday sale is definitely one to have on your radar.

Here’s a break down what to expect, when to shop, what’s worth buying, and what kind of deals GAP typically offers during this time of year.

When Will GAP’s Black Friday 2025 Sale Start?

GAP doesn’t wait until Black Friday itself to start pushing deals. Based on what they’ve done in recent years, I expect their “early” Black Friday sale to start on Monday, November 24, 2025, and run through Wednesday, November 26. These first few days usually feature solid deals, but they’re not the best you’ll see.

The main Black Friday sale is expected to start on Thursday, November 27, which is Thanksgiving Day. Just keep in mind—GAP’s physical stores (including those in malls) are typically closed on Thanksgiving, so if you’re planning to shop in person, that’ll have to wait until Friday.

The deals should continue through the weekend and extend past Cyber Monday, with a likely end date of Tuesday, December 2, 2025. So you’ve got about nine days in total to shop, give or take.

How the Sales Are Typically Structured

Every year, GAP launches its Black Friday campaign with a few different layers of discounts:

  • “Really Big Deals” (up to 60% off select items)
  • Sitewide or storewide discounts (usually around 50% off)
  • Sometimes an extra 10% off on top of the 50%, usually requiring a promo code

Don’t be fooled by the messaging. Even though you’ll see “Today Only!” or “Hurry Before It Ends!” plastered everywhere, the core discounts don’t usually change all that much over the course of the week. The main differences tend to be in specific items being rotated in or out of the “Really Big Deals” section.

Is It Better to Shop Early or Wait?

If history repeats itself, the best deals don’t show up until Thanksgiving Day. Last year, GAP offered 60% off their “Really Big Deals” and 40% off nearly everything else in the days leading up to Black Friday. But once Thanksgiving hit, the 50% to 60% off sitewide offer kicked in. So if you’re looking for the best bang for your buck, it’s usually smart to wait until Thursday or later to shop.

That said, if you’re worried about popular sizes or colors selling out, shopping during the early access period might be a safer move. The trade-off is that you might be paying slightly more than if you waited.

Where to Shop the Deals

GAP’s Black Friday promotions usually apply across multiple divisions of their brand, including:

  • Gap.com (main online store)
  • GapBody
  • GapKids
  • babyGap

These sales are U.S.-only, and while you’ll find them at many physical stores, there are important exclusions:

  • GAP Factory stores and gapfactory.com do not participate in these offers
  • Third-party sellers carrying GAP merchandise are also excluded
  • Gift cards, taxes, and shipping don’t qualify for discounts

In 2024, the 50% off sitewide deal was online-only, so it’s worth checking if that’ll be the case again in 2025. Always read the fine print before checking out.

What’s Usually on Sale

The Black Friday sale at GAP tends to cover a wide range of basics and seasonal items. Here’s what was part of the “Really Big Deals” last year, which could give us a good idea of what to expect this year:

  • Jeans from $25
  • Sweaters from $22
  • Sweats from $19
  • Tees from $12
  • Pajamas from $15

These deals were part of the 60% off “Really Big Deals” section, and while they might be limited to select styles, the discounts are usually solid. If you’re just looking for classic, everyday staples, you’ll probably find something worth picking up.

The 50% off sitewide offer tends to apply to everything else, except for:

  • Items marked as “Excluded From Promotion”
  • Items already in the “Really Big Deal” category
  • Third-party or marketplace listings
  • Gift cards and non-merchandise charges (taxes, shipping)

So, if you’ve had your eye on something full-price that never goes on sale, now’s probably your best chance of the season to grab it for less—unless it’s specifically excluded.

Can You Stack Rewards or Use GapCash?

You can sometimes use GAP Rewards during Black Friday promotions, depending on the fine print. However, GapCash is usually restricted to specific redemption periods that may or may not overlap with Black Friday.

The extra 10% off sometimes offered during Black Friday can usually be used in combination with the 50% off sitewide, but not on top of the “Really Big Deals.” Keep an eye out for a promo code if they offer this again—it’ll typically show up on the homepage or in your email if you’re subscribed.

Free Shipping and Other Perks

Free shipping is a common offer during the Black Friday period. Last year, GAP gave free shipping on orders over $50 if you signed up for their rewards program. It’s free to join and only takes a minute. If you’re planning to buy multiple items anyway, it’s a good way to avoid those shipping charges.

Another thing to keep in mind is that prices may differ in-store versus online, and returns from online orders can sometimes be more restrictive depending on your payment method or where you return the items.

When You Should Skip the Sale

If you’re just looking for the absolute lowest prices on clothes, Labor Day and post-Christmas clearance sales usually offer deeper discounts—especially on leftover seasonal merchandise. That said, if you need winter clothes now or want access to newer inventory (in all sizes and colors), Black Friday is a solid choice.

The trick is not to buy into the artificial urgency. If GAP says a deal ends today, chances are a very similar one will be back tomorrow. The best time to shop is between Thanksgiving Day and Cyber Monday, and you’ll likely get the same deals regardless of which day you choose in that range.
