Updated on Wednesday, September 23, 2026: Navy Exchange has not released its 2026 Black Friday ad yet, but its holiday sale has followed a fairly consistent pattern over the years.
NEX traditionally refers to the event as Navy Blue Friday. We expect online deals to begin on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, while stores remain closed, followed by the main in-store event on Black Friday, November 27. Electronics, appliances, toys, jewelry, apparel and home goods should make up much of the ad.

When Will Navy Exchange Black Friday 2026 Start?
Thanksgiving Day, November 26, is our best guess for the online launch.
NEX has historically opened its holiday deals online while physical stores remain closed for Thanksgiving, with stores opening early on Black Friday. In past events, some locations have opened as early as 5:00 a.m., although hours can vary by installation.
If the product you want is available online, checking on Thanksgiving is likely smarter than waiting until the doors open Friday morning.
How Much Will Navy Exchange Take Off?
Expect product-specific deals rather than one storewide discount.
Previous Navy Blue Friday events have included discounts across TVs, gaming, appliances, sporting goods, toys, cosmetics, jewelry, watches and luggage. An official NEX event, for example, included up to 30% off appliances, 40% off board games, 30% off cosmetics and 20% to 30% discounts across several other categories.
For 2026, these are the general ranges we would watch:
Category
Deal We’d Look For
TVs
20%–40% off or large fixed-dollar savings
Laptops and tablets
15%–30% off
Small kitchen appliances
30%–50% off
Vacuums
25%–40% off
Toys and games
25%–50% off
Apparel and footwear
25%–40% off
Jewelry
25%–40% off
Beauty and fragrance sets
Around 25%–40% off
The Tax-Free Price Is the Real Advantage
Navy Exchange purchases are tax-free both in stores and online, which can make a deal better than it first appears.
For example, suppose both NEX and another retailer sell a TV for $799.99. In an area with an 8% sales tax, the civilian retailer’s checkout total would be about $864, while the qualifying NEX purchase would remain $799.99 before any applicable shipping or other charges.
That means you should compare the final checkout price, not just the advertised markdown.
Electronics Should Be One of the First Categories to Check
NEX carries a broad electronics selection that currently includes Samsung, Sony, LG, Hisense, Apple, Bose, Garmin and many other major brands.
TVs are especially worth watching because even a similar advertised price can become more attractive once the tax-free benefit is factored in.
NEX also has a Low Price Promise. It can match qualifying local competitors and certain online retailers on identical, in-stock items, and its policy includes a 14-day price guarantee under qualifying conditions.
That gives eligible shoppers another reason to compare prices rather than assuming the Black Friday ad automatically has the lowest number.
Small Appliances and Home Products Could Have Deeper Discounts
Kitchen and home products have traditionally been strong Navy Blue Friday categories.
The current NEX assortment includes brands such as Dyson, Bissell, Breville, Cuisinart, Black & Decker, Chefman and many others, giving the retailer plenty of products to feature in its holiday ad.
For coffee makers, air fryers, blenders and vacuums, we would look for roughly 30% off or better. Once discounts move toward 40% or 50%, the tax-free price can become particularly competitive.
Who Can Shop the Navy Exchange?
Navy Exchange is not open to the general public.
Authorized shoppers include active-duty personnel and dependents, retirees, Guard and Reserve members, certain veterans, eligible DoD civilians and several other groups defined by Department of Defense rules. All honorably discharged service members can also use the Veterans Online Shopping Benefit to shop online after eligibility verification, although that benefit by itself does not provide access to NEX stores or military installations.
If you have not shopped online before, it is worth verifying your eligibility before Thanksgiving rather than trying to set up the account when a limited-stock deal goes live.
Join NEXt Level Rewards Before Black Friday
NEXt Level Rewards is free and currently gives members one point per qualifying dollar spent. Every 250 points earns a $5 reward, which works out to a 2% rewards rate on qualifying purchases. New members also receive a $10 welcome reward, and members can receive early access to certain sales and events.
That can add a little more value to a large Black Friday purchase, particularly electronics or home items.
What About Shipping?
Navy Exchange currently offers free standard shipping on orders of $49.95 or more. MILITARY STAR cardholders also receive free standard shipping regardless of that threshold.
NEX ships throughout all 50 states, U.S. territories and APO/FPO/DPO addresses, although delivery times can be considerably longer for military and overseas destinations.
If you are sending holiday gifts overseas, ordering early matters more than waiting for a possible Cyber Monday price change.
Should You Wait for Cyber Monday?
For a specific doorbuster, probably not.
NEX has historically followed Navy Blue Friday with separate Cyber Days promotions, so additional online deals may appear after the weekend.
Still, the strongest Black Friday electronics and limited-stock items may not last. If the exact TV, appliance or gift you want reaches a competitive tax-free price on Thanksgiving or Friday, waiting until Monday could mean losing the deal altogether.
When Will the Navy Exchange Black Friday 2026 Ad Arrive?
We expect the full ad during the weekend before Thanksgiving, probably around November 21–23.
Once Navy Exchange releases its 2026 Navy Blue Friday offers, we’ll update this page with the confirmed sale dates, store hours, electronics prices, appliance deals, toy discounts and Cyber Monday promotions.
