Hulu Black Friday 2025 Sale – What to Expect & When

If you’ve been thinking about trying Hulu or returning to it after a break, Black Friday is probably the best time of the year to sign up. Hulu’s Black Friday deal is one of the most popular streaming discounts out there, and it’s coming back again in 2025.

While Hulu hasn’t officially announced their Black Friday offer yet, based on what they’ve done year after year—including in 2022, 2023 and 2024—it’s safe to expect a big discount on their ad-supported plan. The price usually drops to under a dollar a month for new and eligible returning subscribers, and they’ve often added Disney+ into the mix for just a little more.

Here’s a look at when the deal is likely to go live, who can take advantage of it, what kind of discount you can expect, and what to watch out for before you sign up.

Likely Black Friday 2025 Sale Dates

Over the past few years, Hulu’s Black Friday sale has consistently followed the same pattern. It usually starts on hulu.com on Thanksgiving Day, runs through Cyber Monday, and ends the day after—on Tuesday. So in 2025, here’s what the sale window will probably look like:

  • Expected Start Date: Thursday, November 27, 2025 (Thanksgiving Day)

  • Expected End Date: Tuesday, December 2, 2025

That gives you six full days to jump on the offer. But in some years, Hulu has opened up early access to the deal. This has happened through promotional tie-ins, like when they’ve previewed the sale on ABC’s Good Morning America.

If they repeat that again this year, we could see the deal pop up as early as Monday, November 24, 2025, which is the Monday before Thanksgiving. That early access has often been limited to viewers who first saw the offer through GMA, but in practice, it usually shows up online for everyone not long after.

Who Can Get the Deal

This sale isn’t open to everyone, so it’s important to know if you’re eligible. Hulu limits the Black Friday promotion to new and eligible returning subscribers. That means:

  • You must not have an active Hulu subscription at the time you sign up.

  • You can’t have been subscribed within the last 30 days.

That’s the official rule. However, based on feedback from users in previous years (see the comments below), many people have been able to sign up for the deal simply by using a different email address and a different credit card. That might not be guaranteed to work every time, but it has been a common workaround for people who’ve wanted to get the deal more than once.

If you’re currently subscribed to Hulu, you’ll want to cancel your plan before the Black Friday sale begins, or else you won’t be eligible for the promo. Just make sure you time it right so your current subscription ends before you try to sign up again, or you could end up paying full price—or worse, paying twice.

Expected Discount Levels

Based on what Hulu has offered in previous Black Friday sales, here’s what you can expect in 2025:

  • Hulu (Ad-Supported Plan): 99¢ per month for 12 months

  • Hulu + Disney+ Bundle: $2.99 per month for 12 months

To put that in perspective, Hulu’s ad-supported plan usually costs $7.99/month, so over 12 months, that’s $95.88. With this Black Friday offer, you’d be paying only $11.88 total for the whole year. That’s an 88% discount.

The bundle deal with Disney+ (also ad-supported) is another great value. Normally, Disney+ costs $7.99/month by itself, and the combined cost for both services is usually around $14/month. With the Black Friday deal, you’re paying $2.99/month, or $35.88 for the year. That’s a 75% discount off the regular combined price.

What’s Not Included

There are a few things the Black Friday deal won’t give you. It’s worth knowing this upfront so you’re not caught off guard.

  • No ad-free option: This deal only applies to the ad-supported plan. If you want to upgrade to the ad-free version, you’ll need to pay the regular price.

  • No Hulu Live TV: This plan doesn’t include Hulu + Live TV, which is a completely different (and much more expensive) package. Live TV starts at around $76.99/month and isn’t included in any holiday discounts.

  • Add-ons cost extra: If you want premium channels like HBO, Showtime, or Starz, you’ll have to pay regular rates for those add-ons.

What Happens After the 12 Months

This is important: once your 12 months are up, your plan will automatically renew at the regular monthly rate, unless you cancel it.

For Hulu (ad-supported), that will likely be $7.99/month, or whatever the current price is in December 2026. For the bundle, it will jump up to whatever Hulu and Disney+ are charging by then—probably at least $14.99/month if prices stay on track with recent increases.

If you don’t want to continue at the full price, just make a note to cancel before the year is up. You can cancel at any time, even during the promo period, and you’ll still have access to the rest of the year you paid for.

Last Year’s Cyber Monday Ad

Updated on Saturday November 25, 2023: Just like last year, Hulu’s Black Friday sale once again runs through Cyber Monday!

You can already shop hulu.com to either pick up a full 12 months of their ad-supported plan for just 99¢ per month or Hulu and Disney+ together (both with ads) for only $2.99 per month. Just keep in mind that it’s only for “new and eligible returning subscribers” who have not been subscribed in the last month. But as you’ll notice, apparently just a different email address and different credit card is all that’s needed to be considered as a new subscriber (just don’t forget to cancel your existing plan so you don’t get double charged!).

With this deal you can cancel anytime. See the official terms and conditions posted below for compete details. Offer ends on Tuesday November 28, 2023 at 11:59PM PT. Happy bargain hunting!
