Here’s a breakdown of the likely sale dates, discounts, and what to look out for when Ancestry rolls out their Black Friday event in 2025.
When Will the Sale Start?
Ancestry’s Black Friday Sale in 2025 is likely to begin on Thursday, November 27, 2025—that’s Thanksgiving Day itself—exclusively at ancestry.com. The deals are expected to last through Tuesday, December 2, 2025, ending at 10:00 a.m. ET. This 6-day window includes the entire Thanksgiving weekend and extends into Cyber Monday.
It’s worth noting that in previous years, Ancestry has also run promotions leading up to Black Friday. For instance, last year they had a “Holiday Sale” starting on November 1st with discounts on the AncestryDNA kit alone. This early offer wasn’t as generous as the Black Friday deal so we recommend not shopping before the main event.
What Were Last Year’s Deals Like?
Looking at last year’s offers gives us a solid idea of what to expect this time around. Here’s what Ancestry offered during their Black Friday event in 2024:
- AncestryDNA + Traits was on sale for $39 (a substantial drop from its regular price of $119). Ancestry called this their “best deal ever” on the DNA + Traits kit.
