Updated on Wednesday, October 14, 2026: Albertsons has not yet released its Black Friday 2026 ad, but last year’s sale gives us a useful starting point.
In 2025, Albertsons ran its main Black Friday event from November 28 through December 2, with the ad arriving shortly before the sale. Unlike retailers that focus on electronics or clothing, Albertsons’ Black Friday offers center on groceries, household essentials, holiday food and digital coupons.
For 2026, we expect the main sale to begin on Black Friday, November 27, with Thanksgiving-week grocery promotions starting earlier.

When Will Albertsons Black Friday 2026 Start?
Our best estimate is Friday, November 27.
The 2025 Black Friday event began on Black Friday itself and continue through Tuesday, December 2. The ad was expected a few days before the sale.
That said, Albertsons’ holiday savings really begin before Black Friday.
Thanksgiving promotions typically cover turkey, ham, baking supplies, sides, rolls, desserts and other holiday meal essentials. Albertsons’ 2025 Thanksgiving page also promoted prepared sides, party trays, cakes and pies alongside traditional ingredients.
If you’re shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, there is no reason to wait until Friday.

What Should You Expect From the Black Friday Ad?
Albertsons’ Black Friday ad is less about doorbusters and more about practical savings.
The most useful deals are usually spread across categories such as:
- meat and poultry
- pantry staples
- frozen food
- beverages
- snacks
- cleaning supplies
- paper products
- holiday baking
- seasonal food and décor
The best offers can also vary by region and store, so the ad shown for one Albertsons location may not match another.
Albertsons’ weekly ad is store-specific, which makes checking your selected location especially important. You can view the ad at albertsons.com.
Thanksgiving Food Deals Are Often More Important Than Black Friday
For grocery shoppers, the week before Black Friday can actually matter more than Black Friday itself.
Albertsons’ Thanksgiving promotions cover the products people are buying in large quantities anyway: turkey, ham, potatoes, stuffing, gravy, baking ingredients, pies and dinner rolls.
That makes Thanksgiving-week pricing worth comparing separately from the Black Friday ad.
If you see a good price on turkey, butter or baking staples before Thanksgiving, buying early usually makes more sense than waiting for November 27.
Join Albertsons forU Before the Sale
Albertsons forU is the retailer’s free loyalty program, and it is one of the easiest ways to get more out of the Black Friday period.
Members receive personalized deals, digital coupons, Points, grocery and gas rewards, a monthly free-item offer and other benefits. Albertsons also currently advertises $5 off a first $25 purchase for new members, subject to terms.
Digital offers generally need to be added to your account before checkout, either in the app or online. They can then apply to qualifying in-store or online purchases.
If you regularly shop at Albertsons, it makes sense to have the account set up before Thanksgiving week rather than trying to clip offers while you’re already in the store.
Digital Coupons Can Beat the Regular Ad Price
The weekly ad is only part of the story.
Albertsons uses personalized and clippable digital offers heavily through forU, so two shoppers may not always see the exact same final price.
The company currently promotes personalized weekly savings and lets members earn Points that can be redeemed toward groceries or gas.
For Black Friday, check both the weekly ad and the forU section before building your shopping list.
A sale price plus a digital coupon can be more interesting than a larger-looking discount that does not stack.
Stock-Up Deals Are Worth Watching
Black Friday at a grocery store is a good time to focus on products you will actually use over the next several weeks.
Paper towels, laundry detergent, bottled drinks, snacks, coffee, frozen foods and pantry staples are the kinds of items where a strong multi-buy or digital coupon can be worthwhile.
The same goes for holiday baking products if you plan to cook again in December.
Unlike a limited-time electronics doorbuster, there is little benefit to buying something simply because the Black Friday label is attached to it. Compare the unit price and only stock up when the savings are genuinely better than the normal weekly rotation.
Pickup and Delivery Can Save Time
Albertsons offers both pickup and grocery delivery, which can be useful during a crowded holiday week.
Pickup is available through participating stores, while standard delivery fees can apply depending on the order and location. Albertsons also offers free delivery on a customer’s first qualifying online order of at least $30 with the applicable promo code.
In 2026, Albertsons also introduced forU+, a paid annual subscription currently priced at $39 per year. It includes unlimited free same-day delivery on qualifying orders of at least $30, along with discounted Flash delivery and other benefits.
If you only place one holiday order, paying for a subscription may not make sense. If you already use delivery regularly, it can change the math.
Expect Prices and Offers to Vary by Location
This is especially important with Albertsons.
The retailer operates across different regions, and weekly ads, availability, alcohol promotions, holiday pricing and participating offers can vary by store.
Albertsons’ own weekly-ad page requires shoppers to select a store before showing local offers.
So if you see a deal mentioned online, confirm that it appears in your local ad before heading to the store.
Should You Wait for Cyber Monday?
Probably not for groceries.
Cyber Monday on November 30 may bring online-only offers or delivery promotions, but most grocery purchases are driven by weekly pricing, inventory and digital coupons rather than a single nationwide Cyber Monday event.
If household basics or pantry items reach a strong price during Black Friday weekend, waiting until Monday probably will not improve the deal enough to matter.
Cyber Monday is more useful as one last chance to check online promotions than as the main event.
When Will the Albertsons Black Friday 2026 Ad Be Released?
Around November 24 or November 25 is our best estimate.
Last year, the Black Friday ad was expected just a few days before the November 28 sale began.
Albertsons also changes its weekly ad by store, so the exact timing may differ slightly depending on location.
Once the 2026 Black Friday ad is released, we’ll update this page with the confirmed sale dates and the best deals on groceries, household products, holiday food and forU digital offers.
