Updated on Thursday September 17, 2020: If you’re not new Blacker Friday then you already know that we’ve been tracking Black Friday deals on PS4, Xbox One S and X, Switch and PlayStation VR for a number of years now. But with the imminent launch of PlayStation 5 coming anytime now, we are now adding PS5 to our list of deals that we are tracking over Black Friday. So what can you expect this year?
When Is It Coming?
Playstation 5 launches on November 12, 2020 in U.S. and select in countries: Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. It will launch in Europe, Asia, Middle East, South America and the rest of the world on November 19, 2020. Pre orders are already available at select retailers.
How Much Will It Cost?
The PS5 Digital Edition will retail for $399.99 and the PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive will retail for $499.99. Both models feature the same CPU and GPU units as well as 4K graphics and ultra high speed SSD. This retail price of the console is expected to include one DualSense Wireless controller. You’ll also be able to purchase the following accessories separately:
- Additional DualSense Wireless Controllers for $69.99/each.
- PULSE 3D wireless headset for $99.99.
- HD Camera with dual 1080p lenses for gamers to broadcast themselves for $59.99.
- Media Remote for $29.99.
- DualSense Wireless Controller Charging Station for $29.99.
Our PS5 Black Friday 2020 Sale Predictions
With PS5 being the most popular new gaming console to launch in 2020 and with more people isolating at home this year due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, you’ll be lucky to even be able to get your hands on a PS5 console before Christmas. We’re not expecting to see any sales or discounts offered at all in 2020. The earliest that we’ll see the first bundle offers to appear on PlayStation 5 is likely to be in March—April of 2021. That would follow a similar timeframe to when PS4 and Xbox One X were launched a few years ago.
So now what? You have a decision to either what until next year for a better deal or pick up the console this year at full price. That’s if you’re lucky enough to find it in stock anywhere. At the same time, if you don’t have a PS4 then you can expect to see the lowest prices we’ve ever seen coming over Thanksgiving weekend. Playstation 4 bundles were priced for as low as $199.99 last year so another $20 to $40 less than that is possible.
As always, you can count on us to be the first ones to bring you all the Black Friday deals on PS5 if and when they happen. Be sure to join our newsletter to stay up to date on all the latest developments.
