Costa Del Mar’s Black Friday 2025 Sale – What to Expect & When

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect at Costa Del Mar’s Black Friday sale here in 2025 based on what they’ve run in previous years, including key dates, discount ranges, the types of products that usually go on sale, and a few examples from last year that give you an idea of what to look for.

When Will the Sale Start?

Costa’s Black Friday sale doesn’t drop all at once. There’s a pattern that’s been pretty consistent, and we’re expecting them to follow it again in 2025.

Last year, early access to the deals began a week before Thanksgiving, which would put this year’s expected early access date at Thursday, November 20, 2025. Early access is only available to registered Costa Del Mar members. You have to have an account on costadelmar.com, and you need to be signed in to see the deals early. If you’re not a member, you’ll have to wait until the public sale opens.

That public access likely starts on Monday, November 24, 2025, and runs through Cyber Monday, which falls on December 1st this year. Just keep in mind that the more popular styles and sizes tend to go fast — especially during early access.

What Kinds of Discounts to Expect

Costa doesn’t discount everything across the board. Instead, the sale usually includes up to 50% off a mix of products. That covers:

  • Sunglasses

  • Prescription-ready eyeglass frames

  • Apparel (shirts, hats, outerwear)

  • Accessories (cases, cleaning kits, retainers, etc.)

It’s mostly select items — not every frame or every lens type will be marked down — but there are usually enough solid deals to make it worth browsing. On top of those base discounts, last year they also offered an extra 10% off sitewide when you used the promo code EXTRA10 during checkout.

Unless they change the format this year, it’s likely that we’ll see the same setup: markdowns on selected items, plus a stackable 10% off with a code.

Another bonus is free “green” shipping (which just means eco-friendly packaging and logistics) and free returns are typically included during the event, so you don’t have to worry about return fees if the fit or style isn’t quite right.

Specific Items That Went on Sale Last Year

To give you an idea of what to expect, here are a few examples of what was included in the 2024 Black Friday sale:

Sunglasses

Costa Rincon Polarized Sunglasses

  • Regular Price: $234

  • Black Friday Price: $164 (30% off)

  • After Promo Code: $147.60 (with EXTRA10)

Costa Fantail PRO

  • Regular Price: $284

  • Black Friday Price: $199 (30% off)

  • After EXTRA10: $179.10

Costa Panga

  • Regular Price: $192

  • Black Friday Price: $134.40 (30% off)

  • After EXTRA10: $121.00

Costa Reefton (580G Lens)

  • Regular Price: $259

  • Black Friday Price: $155.40 (40% off)

  • After EXTRA10: $139.86

A lot of the discounted styles included both 580G (glass lenses) and 580P (polycarbonate lenses). Keep in mind that certain lens colors (like Sunrise Silver Mirror or Blue Mirror) can go out of stock faster, especially in more popular frame styles.

Eyeglasses

Costa’s prescription eyeglass frames were also part of the sale last year — not as many options as sunglasses, but still a few good markdowns:

Costa Ocean Ridge 300 Collection

  • Regular Price: $149

  • Sale Price: $104 (30% off)

  • After EXTRA10: $93.60

Apparel and Gear

Costa usually includes a decent selection of soft goods in the Black Friday sale. Here are a few examples from 2024:

Costa Performance Long Sleeve Shirt

  • Regular Price: $40

  • Black Friday Price: $24 (40% off)

  • After EXTRA10: $21.60

Costa Mesh Back Hat

  • Regular Price: $24

  • Black Friday Price: $16 (33% off)

  • After EXTRA10: $14.40

Costa Neck Gaiter

  • Regular Price: $18

  • Black Friday Price: $12.60

  • After EXTRA10: $11.34

There was also a small selection of polarized clip-ons, lens cleaning kits, and sunglass cases marked down in the 20–40% range. These items aren’t flashy, but they’re useful, and the sale is a good time to stock up if you need them.

What’s Usually Not Included

While Costa offers decent coverage during the sale, there are always a few things that don’t get discounted:

  • New arrivals: If a style launched recently, it’s probably excluded

  • Limited-edition collabs: Any special collaborations or drops are usually full price

  • Custom sunglasses: Costa doesn’t offer many options for custom builds, but anything in that realm likely won’t be part of the sale

  • Gift cards: No discounts here

  • Prescription lens upgrades: If you’re buying prescription sunglasses or frames, the frame might be discounted, but the prescription lenses (especially progressive or transition lenses) will still cost extra

Will the Sale Change Throughout the Week?

In past years, Costa hasn’t done daily “doorbusters” or flash sales. What they offer at the start of the event is usually what they stick with through Cyber Monday. That said, stock can definitely run out — so if you see something you like in your size and lens type, it’s probably better not to wait too long.
