Updated on Thursday April 25, 2024: While we still have a while to wait for Academy Sports’ Black Friday 2024 sale, we can already give you a sneak peek on what’s to come based on our experience tracking the trends over the years. Here’s what we’re predicting:
- The sale will likely run from Sunday, November 24th (that’s 4 days before Thanksgiving) to Saturday November 30th or while in-stock supplies last. Their Cyber Monday sale is expected to begin immediately afterwards on Sunday morning, December 1st.
- In terms of the deals, you’ll find 30% to 50% off specials across all product segments. Just keep in mind that some deals are only offered in stores. You can see last year’s sale highlights in the ad posted further down this page to get a general idea of what’s to come.
- If shopping in-stores, we expect all locations to once again be closed on Thanksgiving day itself. But to make up for it, doors typically open extra early at 5:00AM on Friday morning and close as late as 11:00PM.
- We are expecting to get a hold of their complete ad scan on or around Thursday November 14, 2024. That’s two weeks before Thanksgiving.

Black Friday 2024 Start & End Dates
Historically, Academy Sports + Outdoors always runs plenty of deals all throughout the holiday season… it seems like they just go from one sale to another, to another, to another. But in terms of “Black Friday” they are expected to kick off the event on the Sunday before Thanksgiving and run it through Saturday night or while supplies last. Afterwards, be on the lookout for their “Cyber Monday” sale arriving early on Sunday morning and running through Tuesday night or while in-stock supplies last.
- Expected BF sale start date: Sunday November 24, 2024 (that’s 4 days before Thanksgiving).
- Expected BF sale end date: Saturday November 30, 2024 or while in-stock inventory lasts.
- Expected Cyber Monday sale dates: Sunday-Tuesday, December 1-3, 2024.
