Black Friday has become one of Rent the Runway’s biggest events of the year. Their sales usually cover both subscription plans and sitewide discounts, and the 2025 event is expected to follow a similar pattern. Based on recent years, here is a clear picture of what to expect this November.
Black Friday 2025 Sale Dates
The main Black Friday sale is expected to begin on Friday, November 28, 2025, and run through Thursday, December 4, 2025, extending three days past Cyber Monday. You’ll be able to shop the event at renttherunway.com.
A smaller pre-Black Friday sale will likely appear in mid-November and continue through Thanksgiving Day, offering discounts on memberships and purchases before the main event begins (likely around 20–45% off select plans and sale items). It’s usually best to skip the pre-holiday sale.
Expected Membership Deals
The most significant savings are usually tied to subscription plans. In 2024, Rent the Runway offered 50% off the most popular 10-item plan, bringing the first month down to $72 with a promo code (last year’s code was BFCM50). Other plans were also discounted for the first month:

These deals applied only to new, rejoining, or paused customers. Memberships renewed at regular rates after the first month unless paused or canceled.
Additional Sitewide Discounts
Alongside subscription offers, Rent the Runway also featured tiered discounts on purchases and clearance items. The 2024 breakdown looked like this:
