Forever 21 Black Friday 2025 Sale – What to Expect & When

Forever 21 is not expected to run a Black Friday sale in 2025 due to its recent filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. In a public statement, the company confirmed that it is undergoing a significant restructuring process as it seeks to either sell assets or find a buyer for some or all of its business. As part of this transition, Forever 21 has already begun closing multiple U.S. locations and has stopped issuing new gift cards and credit cards. Additionally, all sales—both in-store and online—are now final, with no returns or exchanges accepted. These operational limitations signal a shift away from typical promotional events like Black Friday sales, which require stable inventory, marketing, and return flexibility.

The company also stated that while stores will remain open for now and online orders will continue to be fulfilled, their focus has turned toward managing bankruptcy proceedings and working through store closures. Since the company is currently not in a position to support large-scale promotional efforts, and with gift card usage only being honored through mid-April 2025, a traditional Black Friday campaign is unlikely. Any remaining merchandise will likely be sold at existing markdowns without the launch of a structured sale event. Given the uncertainty around store closures and potential asset sales, Forever 21 appears to be prioritizing winding down operations over hosting seasonal promotions.
