Updated on Saturday, October 5, 2024: With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we’re keeping a close eye on Dollar General’s upcoming Black Friday sale. Here’s what you can expect this year:
- Most of Dollar General’s Black Friday deals are expected to run from Thanksgiving Day through Saturday night or while in-stock supplies last (that’s November 28-30, 2024). However, you’ll likely notice that some items, as will be indicated in the ad, will only be available only on Thanksgiving day itself.
- Dollar General’s Black Friday 2024 ad is usually around 20 pages long and is expected to be leaked on or around Sunday, November 24, 2024 (that’s 4 days before Thanksgiving). It’ll feature deals on food, snacks, holiday decor, toys, clothing, and small personal electronics at up to 75% off. You can scroll down the page to view last year’s ad to get a general idea of the products and price points that we typically see.
- Stores are typically open from 7:00am to 10:00pm during Dollar General’s Black Friday sale, including on Thanksgiving day itself (with the exception of stores in RI, MA and ME that are always closed on Thanksgiving).
- It’s possible that not all items featured in the ad will be available in all stores nationwide. Popular items are subject to sell out early and if they do, rainchecks are not offered during the event. Also, there may be limits in place on how many of the same items you can purchase in a single transaction (this is to prevent unauthorized resellers from making bulk purchases).
