Dillard’s Black Friday 2025 Sale – What to Expect & When

Whether you’re aiming to shop in person or online, Dillard’s is one of those department stores that tends to keep things pretty consistent year to year—so there’s quite a bit we can already expect. While they’re not known for the rock-bottom prices you might see at places like Walmart or Target, they do offer some pretty solid deals, especially on brand-name items that don’t always go on sale.

Here’s a breakdown of what you should know: from when the sale will likely begin, to the types of deals to watch for, what kind of discounts to expect, and even a look back at what was on sale last year so you can plan your shopping list.

When Does Dillard’s Black Friday 2025 Start?

First things first—timing. Dillard’s usually doesn’t start its main Black Friday sale early. Unlike some stores that roll out deals the entire week of Thanksgiving, Dillard’s typically holds back the biggest discounts until actual Black Friday, which this year lands on November 28, 2025.

You might see a few early promotions during the week leading up to Thanksgiving—things like select markdowns on clothing or home items—but if you’re holding out for the best deals, they’re likely to drop on Black Friday itself.

Store hours usually run from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time on Black Friday. Of course, it’s always good to double-check your local store’s hours since they can vary slightly by location. And as with most retailers these days, you’ll be able to shop the sale online too—but not everything is available digitally. Some of the better doorbuster deals are in-store only, so if you’re really after something specific, it might be worth the trip.

Will There Be Online Deals?

Yes—Dillard’s offers most of their Black Friday deals both online at dillards.com and in stores, though a few offers each year tend to be in-store exclusives. For instance, last year, things like Estee Lauder gift sets and Bogg Bags were only available in-store, while others, like sunglasses or designer handbags, were available both ways.

Dillard’s also doesn’t do free shipping on everything automatically, which is something to keep in mind. Usually, there’s a free shipping threshold (historically it’s been around $150), so if you’re only buying one or two items, you might end up paying for shipping unless there’s a site-wide promo.

What Kind of Deals Can You Expect?

Dillard’s isn’t really the type of store where you’ll see 60–70% off across the board. Their Black Friday strategy usually focuses on brand-specific discounts, category markdowns, and seasonal deals, especially on premium and designer brands.

Most discounts tend to fall in the 20% to 30% off range, which might not sound huge, but it’s pretty decent considering the brands they carry often don’t go on sale at all during the rest of the year.

Based on last year’s deals and what we typically see, here’s a general idea of the discount levels you can expect this year:

  • Designer Handbags – Around 25% off

  • Bogg Bags – 25% off, but in-store only

  • Kendra Scott Jewelry – 30% off

  • Sunglasses (including brands like Ray-Ban) – 30% off

  • Estee Lauder – 20% off, in-store only

  • Samsonite Luggage – 25% off

  • Spode & Lennox Holiday Dinnerware – Around 30% off

  • Waterford Crystal – Typically around 20% off
