Updated on Wednesday, October 14, 2026: Altra has not yet announced its full Black Friday 2026 sale, but its U.S. Black Friday page is already live and points shoppers toward deals on road, trail, hiking and training shoes.
In 2025, the sale to begin on Black Friday itself and ran into early December, with roughly 30%–50% off select footwear and apparel.
For 2026, we expect another late-November event focused mostly on select shoe models rather than a sitewide discount.

When Will Altra Black Friday 2026 Start?
Our best estimate is Friday, November 27.
Last year, the sale began on Black Friday and continue through December 7. That was a little later than many retailers that start their holiday promotions in early November.
Altra’s current Black Friday page also frames the event around Black Friday and Cyber Monday shoe deals, so Thanksgiving weekend remains the most likely window.
What Did Altra Offer Last Black Friday?
The 2025 sale offered 30%–50% off select footwear and apparel rather than a blanket discount on everything. Past examples included shoes such as the Paradigm 6 and Via Olympus dropping from $170 to $85.
That kind of 50% markdown is the level worth watching for in 2026, especially on older colorways or outgoing versions of popular models.
Road Running Shoes Should Be One of the Main Categories
Altra’s Black Friday page specifically highlights road running shoes alongside trail, hiking and training footwear.
For road runners, models in the Torin, Paradigm and Via lines are the kinds of shoes worth monitoring. A 30% discount on a current model would be decent, while 40%–50% off would be much more compelling.
The biggest catch is size availability. Running shoes can sell through common sizes quickly once a deep markdown appears.
Trail Shoes Should Also Be Strong
Trail running is another major Altra category, and its Black Friday pages specifically call out trail footwear.
The Lone Peak family is one of the most recognizable Altra trail lines and has appeared in previous Black Friday coverage.
If you already know which Altra fit and cushioning level works for you, Black Friday can be a good time to pick up a second pair or an older colorway at a lower price.
Hiking Shoes May Be Worth a Look Too
Altra is not limiting its Black Friday messaging to running shoes.
Its current U.S. page also mentions hiking footwear, while European Black Friday pages group hiking, road and trail shoes together in the sale.
For hikers, the best deals are likely to be on select colors or previous-season styles rather than every model in the lineup.
Don’t Assume Every Shoe Will Be Discounted
Altra’s Black Friday sale has historically applied to selected styles rather than the entire site.
New arrivals, limited-edition colors and certain popular models may remain at full price.
That makes it worth checking your exact model, color and size instead of relying on the headline percentage.
Free Standard Shipping Is Already Available
Altra currently offers free standard shipping on online purchases in the U.S. Standard delivery generally takes about five to seven business days, while two-day and next-day shipping are available for an extra charge.
That means shipping is less likely to make or break a Black Friday deal here than it is at retailers with a high free-shipping threshold.
If you are ordering for the holidays, though, give yourself extra time. Thanksgiving and other federal holidays are not counted as business days in Altra’s shipping schedule.
The 30-Day Trial Policy Is a Nice Safety Net
One of the better things about buying directly from Altra is its 30-day trial policy.
Altra says every pair purchased through its site comes with a 30-day window to walk, run, hike or otherwise try the shoes and return them for a full refund if they are not right for you.
That is especially useful during Black Friday if you are trying a new model or switching between Altra’s different cushioning and fit options.
The Warranty Is Separate From Returns
Altra also provides a one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects on shoes purchased directly from Altra or an authorized retailer.
Normal wear, poor fit, misuse and product alterations are not covered.
That warranty is not a reason to ignore sizing, but it does give some extra protection on higher-priced footwear.
Should You Wait for Cyber Monday?
Probably not if the model and size you want are already discounted by 40%–50%.
Last year’s sale was expected to run beyond Cyber Monday, so the event was more of a multi-day holiday promotion than a single-day doorbuster.
The bigger risk is inventory. A popular size can disappear before November 30 even if the sale itself keeps going.
If you see a strong price on the exact pair you want, buying earlier is usually the safer move.
When Will the Altra Running Black Friday 2026 Sale Be Announced?
Mid-to-late November is our best estimate for the full details.
Altra’s U.S. Black Friday page is already live, but it does not yet list the final 2026 discounts or exact sale dates.
Once Altra releases the full promotion, we’ll update this page with the confirmed dates and the best deals on road, trail, hiking and training shoes.
