For 2025, Zappos’ Black Friday sale is expected to follow a familiar schedule with early deals, the main Black Friday event, and a follow-up Cyber Monday sale. Here’s a look at what to expect, when to shop, and what kinds of deals you can usually find.
Expected Black Friday 2025 Sale Dates
Zappos will likely start early again this year, with a handful of deals going live on or around November 18, 2025 (that’s 10 days before Black Friday itself). These early deals typically run up to Thanksgiving, which falls on Thursday, November 27, 2025, this year.
The main Black Friday event is expected to start on Friday, November 28, 2025. This is when the largest selection of deals becomes available. The sale usually runs until Sunday night, November 30, 2025, giving you a few days to decide and compare options.
After that, Zappos often runs a similar Cyber Monday sale. The Cyber Monday deals in the past have offered many of the same items as the Black Friday sale, but sometimes a few new items or limited stock get added. This gives another chance to grab anything you might have missed.
Typical Discount Levels
In past sales, Zappos has offered discounts ranging from 25% to 50% off. It is rare to see more than 50% off during Black Friday, but the deals are generally solid enough to make it worth checking out. Higher discounts are often on styles from previous seasons, overstock items, or select sizes and colors. Newer or popular items might be closer to 25% off.
It is also worth noting that Zappos sometimes rotates discounts throughout the sale. For example, some items might start at a lower discount during the early deals and then go deeper closer to Black Friday. Cyber Monday deals sometimes include items that were not on sale for Black Friday or additional stock in popular sizes, which can be useful if you missed out.
Examples from Last Year
Looking at last year’s sale gives a good idea of what might appear again in 2025. In 2024, Vans Old Skool sneakers were offered at around 30% off. Hoka running shoes frequently had discounts between 25% and 40%, depending on the style. Crocs clogs were included with discounts up to 50% off.
Hunter boots were usually discounted between 25% and 35%. New Balance running shoes also fell in the 25% to 40% range. For apparel, Free People sweaters and jackets were part of the sale, generally with discounts around 30%. Sam Edelman boots often went on sale at roughly 30% off, while Brooks running shoes were discounted in a similar range.
