Walmart Black Friday 2025 Sale & Ad – What to Expect & When

Black Friday at Walmart has become one of the most anticipated shopping events of the year, and 2025 will likely follow the same pattern as previous years. Walmart’s Black Friday sale is expected to span multiple events, starting in early November and running through Cyber Monday. You can expect thousands of markdowns across electronics, toys, home goods, clothing, and more, along with some of the season’s hottest gaming and tech bundles. Based on last year’s calendar and Walmart’s usual strategies, here’s everything you need to know to prepare for the upcoming Black Friday 2025 sale.

When the Black Friday 2025 Sale Will Happen

Walmart usually organizes its holiday shopping into three phases, and 2025 is expected to follow the same format:

  • Event 1: Expected to begins online at Walmart.com on Monday, November 10, 2025. Walmart+ members will likely get early access at 12 p.m. ET, with access for everyone else at 5 p.m. ET. The first in-store event should start on Friday, November 15, 2025, at 6 a.m. local time.

  • Event 2: This is usually the biggest part of the sale (a.k.a., the “Main Event”). Online deals should go live on Monday, November 24, 2025 (that’s 3 days before Thanskgiving), with Walmart+ early access at 12 p.m. ET and general access at 5 p.m. ET. In-store shopping will likely begin on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 6 a.m. local time.

  • Event 3 (Cyber Monday): Online-only deals are expected to start Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 5 p.m. ET for Walmart+ members and at 8 p.m. ET for all shoppers.

As with previous years, Walmart stores are expected to remain closed on Thanksgiving Day itself.

When the Ads Will Drop

The ads are usually released a few days before each event. Predictions for 2025:

  • Event 1 ad: Thursday, November 6, 2025

  • Event 2 ad: Friday, November 20, 2025.

The Event 1 ad last year was 16 pages long and the main Event 2 ad was 35 pages long, both covering most categories across the store.

Walmart+ Membership and Early Access

If you want the best chance to grab high-demand items, Walmart+ will continue to be the way to go. Members get a five-hour head start for each event. A full membership is normally priced at $98 per year, but Walmart typically offers a special deal in November at about $49 for new signups. Free trials do not qualify for early access, so you’ll need to be a paying member to benefit.

Additional perks for Walmart+ members include:

  • Free delivery on orders

  • Early morning delivery starting at 6 a.m.

  • Express delivery available in as little as 30 minutes in some areas

  • An option to upgrade to InHome delivery, which places groceries and goods directly into your fridge or garage for an additional fee

Walmart’s Return Policy for the Holidays

Walmart usually offers extended holiday returns. For 2025, expect qualifying purchases made during November and December to be returnable until January 31, 2026. Some exclusions apply, especially for electronics and certain categories, so always double-check the terms once they’re officially announced.

What to Know About Walmart’s Black Friday Pricing

Sometimes the deals can look almost too good to be real. For example, a large-screen TV might be priced under $200. These types of doorbuster items are often made specifically for Black Friday and can come with stripped-down internal specs compared to similar models sold year-round.

Here are a few ways to shop smarter:

  • Check the specs: Compare the product listed on Walmart with the details on the manufacturer’s site. Look at features like refresh rate, brightness, built-in apps, or sound quality.

  • Check price history: Some items are marked down from inflated “regular” prices. A quick online price check can help you decide if it’s a real bargain.

  • Compare other retailers: Sometimes the manufacturer’s site or other stores may offer a better warranty or bundled extras.

What to Expect for 2025

  • Gaming: PS5 and Xbox bundles will continue to be high-demand items. Expect discounted consoles, games around $30, and accessory deals.

  • Toys: Walmart usually prices toys aggressively. Expect LEGO, Hot Wheels, Barbie, and ride-on cars to see steep discounts again.

  • Fashion and jewelry: Expect big markdowns on brand-name shoes, coats, and jewelry that is priced at a fraction of retail.

  • Kitchen appliances: Air fryers, cookware sets, and small appliances will likely drop to $50 or less, as they did last year.

  • Home goods: Bed sheets, vacuums, and furniture essentials often appear with 50 to 70 percent discounts.
