Based on past trends, including the 2024 event, this year’s sale is expected to kick off on Saturday, November 22, 2025 exclusively at originalpenguin.com. That’s five days before Thanksgiving. The sale is likely to wrap up on Saturday, November 29, 2025, which is the day after Black Friday.
What Kind of Discounts to Expect
Original Penguin has a pretty consistent Black Friday strategy, and unless something changes drastically in 2025, the discounts should look very similar to what we’ve seen in the past couple of years.
The main sitewide discount is expected to be 50% off or more, with most sale prices marked automatically. That means no promo code needed for the bulk of the deals. You just browse and see the lowered prices directly on the site.
On top of that, there’s usually a clearance section that stacks an extra 30% off when you use a promo code. Last year, the code was OP30, and there’s a good chance they’ll use the same or something similar this year. That extra discount often makes clearance items some of the best value in the entire sale.
Also, they generally offer free shipping within the continental U.S. on orders of $75 or more, which can be helpful if you’re trying to avoid extra fees.
