Hi! My name is Witold (pronounced "vee-told") and I am the founder of BlackerFriday.com. After many years working in corporate america, I decided it was time to take a break to pursue my real passion — helping people save money. Ever since I was a little boy selling pencils in the playground to my kindergarden friends, later collecting aluminum cans from all my neighbors in elementary school to support my baseball card addiction, eventually becoming an eBay Power Seller in my older years to support my college education, I had an eye for spotting deals. I’ve taken what I have learned over the years and built Blacker Friday to bring you the best Black Friday rumors, predictions, and news website. Fortunately I'm not alone in this - We have a great team of dedicated folks helping make this site possible. If you would like to connect with me you can do so on my Linkedin page, on our site’s Facebook page, or write me an email. Thanks for checking us out and I look forward to hearing from you!

Updated on Wednesday, November 12, 2025: If you’re planning to shop Sears’ upcoming Black Friday 2025 sale, it helps to know the dates, the kinds of discounts Sears usually offers, and the types of products that tend to get the deepest price cuts. Looking at what happened last year gives a pretty clear idea of what might come back this year, along with a few updates. Here’s what we’re predicting this year.
Black Friday 2025 Sale Dates & Duration
Sears’ Black Friday sale in 2025 is expected to officially start at sears.com on Friday, November 28, 2025. Most deals should run through Saturday, November 29, 2025, although some may run just a day or two longer. Based on past years, many of the most popular items don’t stay in stock very long, so early shopping usually makes a difference.
Categories Likely to See Discounts
Appliances
Sears is well known for carrying appliances, especially with its Kenmore brand. In 2024, discounts on appliances reached up to 30% off. This included refrigerators, washers, dryers, and smaller kitchen appliances. Big-ticket appliances tend to be steady sellers for Sears, so similar discounts are likely again in 2025.
Tools
Craftsman tools are one of the standout categories every year. Last year, discounts reached up to 50% off, and some large tool sets were marked down by several hundred dollars. Tools are usually one of the most popular categories at Sears during Black Friday, with both professional and household kits getting reduced.
Electronics and Gaming
Sears isn’t usually the first store you think of for electronics, but it still offered deals in this category last year. You could find up to 30% off televisions, up to 25% off gaming consoles, and up to 50% off select electronics. Expect a smaller selection compared to larger electronics chains, but still some solid deals on mid-range TVs and console bundles.
Furniture and Home Goods
In 2024, Sears discounted furniture by up to 60% and bed and bath items by up to 60% as well. This is an area where Sears often beats specialty stores because of how wide their furniture catalog runs, especially online.
Jewelry
Jewelry saw some of the steepest discounts in 2024, with markdowns as high as 75% off. If jewelry is on your list, Sears usually brings some of its best Black Friday pricing in this category.
Featured Deals From Last Year
Here are a few of the highlighted deals Sears ran last year. These give a clear idea of the kind of price cuts you might see again this year:
Kenmore 61345 18.1 cu. ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator Sale Price: $629.99 (Regular $1,049.99)
Craftsman 450-Piece Mechanic’s Tool Set Sale Price: $209.99 (Regular $549.99)
Craftsman 320-Piece Mechanic’s Tool Set Sale Price: $159.99 (Regular $429.99)
Last year, there was also a special offer for first-time text subscribers:
$10 off a $75 or more purchase
$50 off a $750 or more purchase
It’s possible something similar will return in 2025. Signing up ahead of time may help if Sears repeats the promotion.

Updated on Wednesday, November 12, 2025: Black Friday always brings plenty of attention to big box stores and electronics, but grocery chains like Save A Lot also roll out deals that can be just as useful. If you plan to stock up on everyday essentials, or you want to stretch your food budget, then here’s a look at what you can expect to see this year.
Black Friday 2025 Sale Dates & Format
Save A Lot’s Black Friday 2025 sale is expected to begin on Friday, November 28, 2025. Unlike some retailers that launch early sales or extend them through the weekend, Save A Lot has typically kept things simple. In 2024, the Black Friday promotion ran for just one day. It was presented as a single-page ad and limited to in-store shopping only. Once items sold out, they were gone, and there were no online deals to fall back on.
That approach is likely to return this year. So if you’re planning to shop, expect a traditional in-person sale that runs on Black Friday itself, with discounts only available while supplies last.
Typical Discount Levels
Save A Lot’s discounts usually focus on groceries and household basics rather than high-ticket items. Last year’s prices showed markdowns anywhere from 20% to more than 50% off regular pricing. Some fresh items like produce and meat were priced at levels not often seen outside of special promotions. Pantry goods, frozen foods, drinks, and household cleaning products also saw noticeable cuts.
Here are some of the highlights from last year’s event:
Ground beef (5 lb roll) for $2.99 per pound
Chicken leg quarters for $0.69 per pound
Swaggerty’s Pork Back Ribs for $0.79 per pound
Crystal Geyser bottled water, 2 for $5
Tidy laundry detergent pods, 2 for $5
Breyers ice cream, 2 for $4
Utz potato chips, 2 for $4
Bimbo white bread, 2 for $3
Fresh Express garden salad, $0.99 each
Yellow onions, 2 lb bag for $0.99
